Villa Van Gogh

The hotel is located in an excellent location with great links to the metro making sight seeing easy. its only a short 3 minute walk from the pigalle station. The local area hosts an abundance of resturants and cafes. There is also a local supermarket small but comprehensive, pharmacy and bakery with the most fantastic bread and cakes, all of course inexpensive.
Dinning out is relatively cheap a two course meal costing 40euros with wine and coffee. We did find however the cost of coffee and soft drinks to be expensive 3-4euros each.
whilst I do not speak french well my wife was somewhat better however it was reassuring to have the hotel staff speaking english.
During out trip we elected to travel from charles de gaul airport to the hotel using both train and the metro. this added a further 2 hours to our journey but it provided a real experience navigation was relativly simple on the metro however the stations had no staff or infomation points to help us with connections which caused some confusion.
The hotel was as we expected clean comfortable and provided a base on which to rest. The food at breakfast was of a good quality, although the dining room was a little compact although this is dependent on the number of guests.  
Whislt I have stayed in better hotels It would be difficult to find a better hotel in relation to cost and location. I would be pleased to return and book again.
