One kilometre round the spectacular corniche road from Amalfi lies the small fishing village of Atrani. Here, perched up high on one side of the Valle del Dragone or Dragon’s Valley, is Villa Rosa, overlooking the quaint village and the sea far below, both of which can be reached down flower-filled walkways and 400 steps. Despite Atrani’s lingering charms, Ravello is only a hairpin-strewn ten minute drive up the Dragon Valley - simply unforgettable for the best views to be had along this coastline, already justly famous for its stupendous panoramas, and for its aristocratic restraint. From Villa Rosa’s front gate there is a winding road down to a designated parking area from which there are steps to the apartments. The pool dimensions are 13.5 x 4.5m with depths ranging from 2.4 to 1m deep. A laundry room is available for all guests. There are 67 steps from the car park to this apartment and 33 steps up to the pool. The accommodation sleeps two people within one bedroom and comprises of a furnished terrace with view of Atrani and the sea, one double bedded room with dining area, kitchenette with stove, oven and fridge/freezer, and a bath/shower room with WC, etc. The swimming pool is open between 3rd May to 31st October (weather permitting). There is a final cleaning charge of Euro 45, which is payable locally (not valid for 2008). Late arrivals after 20:00 are charged at Euro 52 and the cost of hiring a cot is Euro 52 per week, also payable locally. A minimum of 3 night bookings are only available from 1st November to 31st March. Parking in the Neapolitan Riviera can be extremely difficult on and around the following periods: Easter, 25th April, 1st May, July, August, Christmas and New Year. If you intend travelling during these periods to accommodation without parking, a taxi service for arrival and departure is recommended. During your stay the public transport system is recommended and is cheap and efficient. Public transport is also recommended during your stay even if your property has off road parking. PLEASE NOTE: Security deposit - Euro 200. C/heating - Euro 50 per week. Late arrivals after 20:00 - Euro 52.
