We stayed at Victoria House for a weekend in November. We got a very good rate from Alpharooms, so I was a bit anxious...however we found this small hotel to be extremely comfortable with spacious rooms and a very nice restaraunt and bar. Breakfast is table service with a good choice and friendly staff. We ate from the bar menu at night and found it very reasonable in terms of quality and price. Hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the town centre and very near National Park for lovely walks near the lakes and woods. All in all, Victoria House represents very good value in a pleasant location.
