veronica hotel

hotel has basic room but very clean. food plentiful and a nice variety. my only critisim is that there was nowhere to buy a drinks or water when i arrived in the early hours of the morning. a fridge is provided in the room but you have to pay extra, it wouldnt of hurt to have had some bottled water in the room for its guests and i'm sure people wouldnt mind a vending machine in the lobby.

Hotel was nice, the food was reasonble but I found the family room was very small. Also we had to pay for the fridge (£2.00 a day).

The hotel is situated on a fairly busy road just out of Paphos. It only takes 5 mins to walk to a vast variety of shops and pubs, 10 to the sea and 20 to the town centre. Perfectly situated for us then! Although the road is fairly busy the hotel is set back and we did not experience any noise.
Overall appearance of the hotel is good. The entrance and foyer are impressive for a 3 star . The rooms are spacious and VERY clean - maids clean every day, amazing considering the value for money this hotel presents. Rooms are spacious, we had a bath and shower and aircon worked a treat. Everything worked just fine.
The hotel pool is great - loads of space and sunbeds and shelter a plenty, because of the stunning palms surrounding it. Everything was cleaned on a regular basis.
The food - we were half board - is good-basic meat and two veg-but plenty of choice-at least 3 mains to choose from and fruit and puddings for those with a sweet tooth - superb, and lots of it!
As you can tell we were VERY pleased with the hotel - value for money it can't be beaten! BUT above all else it was the service - staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you - we did not want to go home!!!!

The old chestnut of you get what you pay for, is very apparent with this hotel. I will try to keep this brief to the main points you need to know. Should you arrive early hours of the morning like I did you do not have any facilities in your room to have a drink, however as the hotel is on a busy road there is an Irish bar opposite which is reasonable. There is also two very good supermarkets near by. Yes the hotel is in a good position for nightlife however the road is noisy night and day. The towels in your room are only changed every THREE days! And you need your own for the pool area. The lunchtime menu is on full board only has two options and life for vegetarians is very difficult. The international buffet in the evening is very repetitive and I would recommend to go BB or RO as food is cheap nearby. Also many people go to dinner in shorts/trainers etc. You have to pay £2 per a day to have your fridge turned on and the air conditioning is rubbish so don't expect to sleep much! Also should you require a late check-out the price is £15. I hope you find this review useful. Please don't get me wrong I am sure there are much worse places to stay for the money you pay. Just don't expect clean towels and you will be fine!

The hotle veronica, is situated just outside the main kato paphos/harlour area, but has local restaurants and bars within 30 seconds. The hotel is slightly dated, but for the price i paid, i was not disappointed. The rooms are of an average size and are cleaned daily, and have adequate a/c. There is a choice of buffet style breakfast, including cereals, cooked, and cheeses, hams, salads....juices are available and so are tea and coffee. I can't comment on evening meal as i was bed and beakfast. The staff were professional and courteous, and the main bar has full selection of local and imported drinks. The pool is of a good size, however in peak times the beds fill very quickly, the temp of the water is perfect in peak season and the pool terrace has plenty of natural shade. There is also a large car park. All major sports channels are available in the main bar, but i did find the t.v in the bedroom to have a poor quality picture and very limited cyprus channels with bbc world being the only english channel available. I have used the hotel on 2 visits in the last 6 weeks and would happily book to go again, because i dont think you will get better value for money.
