The Veramar is an intimate aparthotel built in 1975 and reformed in 1995. ideally situated in fuengirola near the castle and river fuengirola, it is some 400 meters from the beach and 900 meters from the centre of town. it has always been very well known by its clients from different nationalities. The entrance boasts a modern reception area, a confortable lounge and also on the ground floor a restaurant with cafeteria, which is renowned for its excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. All the apartaments have bathroom and american style kitchen. All the kitchens are equipped except the family-rooms which have no kitchen. The Veramar is ideal for those who want quietness away from the center but not too far from the beach.

I stayed here a couple of years ago and nothing has really changed. It is very basic but so cheap that it would be ridiculous to complain. The rooms have a simple 2 ring cooker but without really enough pots and pans to cook a reasonable meal. But why wouldn't you go out to eat considering what you'd saved on the cost of the accommodation? There was also no kettle which was a bit irritating. But I had a good size fridge which was handy for keeping vegetables, cooked meats and cheese for lunch. Great value for money if you are happy to stay in a place which is basic and a bit run down. But it is also clean.
