Quality of Rooms Varies
19 June 2008
I have stayed at Uniquestay for 3 nights, and booked a double room. Both rooms were located on the top floor, and for some reason, we're given the ones with a peculiar setting. The was only one window in each room, and they're located on the ceiling. So we were awaken by the sunlight early in the morning every day during our stay. that kind of interfered with our sleep. not to mention, the size of the rooms are much smaller than the other rooms. when we talked to the reception about it, they only gave us the most uninspiring answer "we're fully booked". but judging from the number of people we see during breakfast, it doesn't quite seem like it. anyhow, good location.

The initial booking was for a normal hotel room which proved to be rather small and restrictive for one night. We then upgraded to a Zen room which was much more spacious, light and pleasant for the last two nights but at night the venitian blinds did not close properly and let in lots of light during the short Estonian night .The breakfast was excellent but the evening meal in the restaurant was not so good. The Hotel was probably at least 20 minutes from the area of the old town where there was a selection of places to eat. Staff at both reception and restaurant were always very helpful and I must say that the place was always clean and tidy

What a great stay, the hotel is really close to the town for shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants. Everything we needed was just a phone call away the hotel staff would order you take away food and book taxi's they were really really helpful. On our last night we all ungraded to a ZEN room wish we had done it the first night, jacuzzi bath more space better bed just so much nicer. i would recommend this hotel to everyone of all ages.

Fantastic Hotel
14 October 2006
Myself and a friend just stayed at the Uniquestay for four nights and were really pleased with everyhing about this hotel, particularly the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast was ample, with a good selection of different foods, and the staff were very efficient. The hotel was in a good location, just a ten minute pleasant walk to the old town of Tallin. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

If I return to Tallinn, I shall stay again at Uniquestay. Located just 10 very pleasant minutes walk from the centre, it is ideal if you want to be close to the action but want somewhere a bit quieter. The room was on the small side but very clean. The staff were all frendly and told me of a lovely Italian restaurant in the centre of the town. Breakfast was also good. Tea making facilities so nice after a week of not having any. Next time, I will have a massage and use the sauna - my time was limited this time so no luxuries. I'd also pay the extra for a Zen room - sounds cool. Worth 4.5 on the scale (not 5 because of the room size).

We have just spent three great nights at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak perfect English. Although The room was small it had very good facilities - free internet access, English speaking TV, tea & coffee making facilities. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The hotel is very modern and breakfast was taken in the 'basement'- very cosy and plenty of choice. Although our room faced the main road, it was not noisy The hotel's location is ideal - situated near Troompea Castle, just a 10 minute walk (uphill, initially) to the centre of the Old Town. (Take some sturdy shoes as there are cobbled streets and in winter they can be hazardous with ice.)
It was thick snow while we were there, -10 degrees, and it was beautiful walking through the park areas, watching children skating on the frozen moat around the castle. Tallinn is a magical place in winter and we will definitely be going back in the summer to see its lovely old buildings and gardens in the sunshine (hopefully).
We were wary of reports of rowdy British Stag Parties going on, but during the week we saw none of this. Tallinn has great restaurants and bars but it is not 'in your face' - and the food is superb. We had some of the best 'Tapas' ever!.
Hotel highly recommended and Tallinn is fantastic!

Review of 'UNIQUESTAY'
28 February 2006
just spent 5 nights at this hotel i have been to Estonia about 15 times and have stayed all over the country.I have to say this hotel is not only the most helpfull and best located i have stayed in it is also spotlessly clean and the rooms are better and more equiped than other hotels i have paid twice as much for. The staff always smiled and were friendly even after i managed to break the room safe for the 3rd time!! bit of a hill to walk up to get to old town so reccomend shoes with good tread if going in winter because can be a bit slippy, but the exersize will do you good anyway. will recomend to anyone and will stay again soon i hope. ps if getting taxis to airport get hotel staff to order because you will pay fair price (approx 70 kroons)then obtain taxi number so you can reuse if you ever return enjoy!!

A great hotel, modern and very comfortable. we stayed at christmas and it was very quiet and relaxing, unlike england which is why we wanted to get away! we used the sauna christmas day which was marvellous after a walk through the old town and shopping at the christmas market in the snow. we upgraded to a zen room for our last night, well worth it for the jacuzzi bath!! if only we could have satyed longer....

We had a great stay at Uniquestay, the rooms were bright, trendy and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and we took full advantage of the beer garden due to the excellent weather. The hotel is in a great location just a few minutes walk from the old town - we loved it and will return!
