The Umi Hotel is located in a quiet garden square in the trendy Bayswater/Notting Hill area close to Hyde Park and is perfectly situated for anyone visiting London for business or pleasure. The hotel is close to Paddington Station which has a high speed Heathrow Express train connection that will get you to Heathrow in only fifteen minutes. Built in 1890, this historic hotel's facilities include a pleasant lobby with a twenty-four hour reception, a hotel safe, a conference room, lifts, a bar and a restaurant with a separate non-smoking area, and children's highchairs on request. Furthermore there is WLAN internet access and a laundry service available for guests use when they stay at the UMI Hotel.

Hotel is located 5 mins walk from tube and numerous shops and fast food outlets. But is in a tidy quiet area (though or room suffered from some external noise from what sounded like large air conditioning units.
We were incorrectly given a smoking room which was very smelly and the hotel were unable to relocate us.
Facilities were acceptable and continental breakfast included was excellent - tea / coffee / juice / fruit / bread rolls / croissant / jams / salad / hams / boiled eggs / yogurts etc
Decor could do with some updating and general finish of ensuite and seperate sink in room had a poor finish.
Overall a fair choice for the money, tho id not want to pay more than £50 for a room.
