Just got back from Valencia. Fabulous hotel - we upgraded to a Premium room and thought it was great. Huge bed, very comfortable, good bathroom etc and good air con. Excellent location next to the Arts & Sciences complex and lovely park areas. Go into the old town to find where everyone goes and best avoid staying on a Sunday as nothing much happens. Lovely few days enjoying the sunshine and sights.

Loved This Tryp
12 February 2008
Just had a long weekend at the TRYP OCEANIC. For our group it was the perfect location. A pleasant walk into the old town through the park (old river bed); a short walk the the new science and oceanic complexes, and a short (although not so scenic) walk to Valencias superb beach and harbour.
Lots of choice when it came to eating out and the hotels restaurant and cafeteria served good food if you want to stay in.
Breakfast was a typical continental affair but with lots of choice.
The hotel is clean and bright and the staff couldnt be more helpful.
Yes the pool is a little small and disappointing (wasnt too much of a problem in february tho).
The mestalla stadium is only 20 minutes walk away for those who like their football.
All in all this hotel is a great base to make the most of a great city.

LOve Valencia
01 October 2007
Good hotel near the new science park - which looks spectacular and is right across the road from hotel.
Staff helpful and friendly. The swimming pool is rather disappointing - small and lacking sun in the afternoon. However we enjoyed our stay - glass lift and all! Easy to get into the old town - hop on a bus!. Not many places to eat - do your research on eating places before you visit!

Excellent value
24 July 2007
We've just returned from a week in Valencia based at this hotel. At first I thought that the fact that it is situated in the new part of town would be a drawback but the fact that it is right next to the City of Arts & Sciences was a big plus point because it meant that we spent more time getting to know that fantastic facility. The old town is within walking distance along the old river bed but the public transport is so good that it is easier to ride. Couldn't fault the hotel itself for cleanliness and service and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Review of 'TRYP OCEANIC'

Just returned from a weekend away with 5 other friends. The Hotel is located in the newest part of Valencia , however it is also close to all the different attractions - Beach, Aquarium, Museum & Shopping! If you are looking for older Architecture & atmosphere then a really pleasant walk along the old river bed -turned into a walikng, cycling, jogging path with fountains & gardens is great. This will take you to the old part of Valencia, if you don't fancy walking then take the no 19 bus for only 1.10 euro. The Hotel is modern, clean & friendly - the only slight disapointment was the lack of outdoor furniture for drinks & snacks. Be careful when you travel from the Airport, if you take a Taxi make sure you ask how much up front or ensure the Taxi has a meter - the other half of our party got ripped off. Generally we were all impressed with Valencia & I would go back again.

Review of 'TRYP OCEANIC'

This, as typical of many 3/4 star hotels, was clean, comfortable with polite helpful staff although I found that they did not know there area very well and got a few important details wrong. The area was wonderful only a stones throw from the new magnificent opera house (not yet fully open to the public)and the undersea world. For the shoppers it is a dream world with the major "El Corte Frigle's" store over the road and a major competitor "U-Box" multistore next to it. For 1.10 Eur you can get the No 19 bus- one way takes you to the station/Bull Ring & the old city (wonderful!)the other way goes to the harbour & beech with it's good seafood restaurants. Eat there not in the hotel Most hotel food is bland and you don't get the "local" atmosphere. Save on taxi fares.Take the Areo bus from the airport (2.50 Eur) drops you at the back of the station. Catch the 19 bus from the side of the station & the stop is one block from the hotel. Higher a bike for 3.50 Eur and cycle down & back the 'Jardin del Turia' very beautiful & stop off here & there & take in the monuments or just enjoy it all. First timers to Valencia stay in the beautiful city centre, more night life etc. I chose this hotel as it was in an area I did not know that well and I enjoyed it but you can't help liking Valencia I'll be back a third time next year - Enjoy!

The hotel was very nice and located in a new up and coming area. The staff were pleasant and happy to give info in travelling around the area. Situated in the Arts and Science area of Valencia it is a little out of the centre which can be reached by taxi (approx 7-8eu) or by the frequent bus service from outside the hotel. Car parking is available for 12eu per day.
The rooms were spacious and clean with daily maid service. There was also a good choice of foods available for breakfast in the smart restaurant.
Due to its location the hotel is also handy for the beach area which again can be reached by taxi (approx 4-5eu).
I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a nice base and don't mind being a little further from the town centre.
Valencia itself is a beautiful city and definitely worth a visit.
