Well Placed and Clean
03 March 2008
The hotel is really well placed for the beach and the old town. When we first got there, I thought it would be quiet, tucked as it is down what looks like a a quiet back alley off the main beach road however, nothing could be further from the truth; take your ear plugs! The only other bug bear was the montony of the breakfasts but, we could be said to have brought that on ourselves by staying over a week. The rooms themselves were clean, the towels seemed to be changed daily and the beds were comfortable. We're not fans of air conditioning but because of the noise outside, having a window open was not ideal. I'd certainly go back and stay there again.

We had a good time
06 February 2008
We stayed 3 nights in the Tryp Ciudad and we were indeed content with staff, breakfast and the facilities at the Tryp. The room was clean and worth it's price. The hotel is ingenious located next to the city hall and the old city centre of Alicante and just a few steps away from the beach " Playa de Postiguet".
We can definitely recommend this hotel!
We had a wonderful time in Alicante, which is a fantastic mediteranian city and we'll visit the Tryp again in the sooner future.

Weekend Break
03 September 2007
We only stayed one night - baseing our choice on other reviews. The staff very helpful and friendly, rooms ok though could do with some paint - bathrooms fine though. None of the TV channels were in English but that aside we would have no problem returning. We opted for the room only as previous reviews said the breakfast was ok but not worth the additional £ - we agree with this, but there are ample bars and restaurants locally including on the beach which were good value. Even though we had one night the hotel provided showers, looked after bags etc. We have no problem recommending this hotel and would return.

Tryp Ciudad De Alicante
15 August 2007
I stayed at this hotel on a four day break with my parents who are retired. The main reception area was very light and modern and staff very helpful. Breakfast was serve yourself continental buffet style served between 07:30 and 11:00. Rooms were clean and comfortable and of a good size. We found this to be ideally situated for all the main attractions of Alicante such as the Marina, beach and old Town which were within walking distance. I would say that this is not suitable for wheelchair users due to a number of steps up to the main entrance and the narrowness of the surrounding pavements.

Review of 'TRYP CIUDAD DE ALICANTE'
11 April 2007
Older hotel but very modern reception and breakfast room area. Our room was of a good size but decor a bit tired looking (lick of paint would have helped). Bathroom area nicely tiled and very clean. Little chance of any view from bedroom as hotel squeezed around narrow streets. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Excellent value for money and would certainly return.

Review of 'TRYP CIUDAD DE ALICANTE'
05 March 2007
The hotel is in a prime location, 2 mins to the beach or the marina and within a short walk to restaurants, bars and shops.
The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly. The only quibble was that the towels weren't changed and we were there for 4 days.
I would return to this hotel.
