basic apartment with small kitchen block. Location i would give the place a 10 - we had an appartment at the back not facing the plaza. No problems with noise what so ever. The place was clean but if you intend to cook yourself look for something else (very difficult at this price!! - less than 30 euro per night). The place has a roof terrace with great views and 2 small swimming pools. Definetly recomended!!

Food is basic but then again it is virtually for free anyway. just one point worth mentioning, and it can be annoying.  Be prepared to noise at 3.00am - 6.00am on Monday morning whilst they pressure wash the Plaza. If your apartment is overlooking the Calle Puerto Viejo or the Plaza Charco, and most of them are at the Tropical, you are unlikely  to sleep through the noise - but it just caused a nuisance on the Monday morning. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay with helpful maid service, obliging reception staff who allowed me to keep the room until 5pm on day of departure, and courtesy secure room for the luggage if necessary. Park Plaza and Tropical use the same reception area and restaurant facilities.  The roof top pool is small but adequate, and offers excellent panoramic views of the town centre and sea front areas.Overall good value for money and I will go back there again - it's so convenient for the Plaza, shops, restaurants and harbour area of the quaint old town.
