Overall a pleasant stay

11 August 2008
As everyone said, the hotel's location was ideal. Just a 3 minute walk from the beach and basically in the middle of the Protaras road, with all the bars and restaurants around, it was exactly what we needed. The pool area was very nice, and crystal clear the whole time we stayed there. The rooms were not luxurious, but more than adequate for their price - u get what u pay for. There were air-condition devices both in the separate bedroom and in the main sitting room area, which was very very good, because we absolutely needed them both! We stayed there for 5 nights, so we had maid service on 4 days, which was also quite good, as our apartment got messy quite quickly - we are youngsters! There would be only 2 things I would point out as minuses. One would be that the whole building did seem to be in need of some renovation, and the second one that the lobby area was not air-conditioned at all, so it was almost unbearable to even pass through from there - I don't know how the reception people stand sitting there all day! Overall, however, our stay at the Trizas Hotel Apts was very pleasant and I would stay there again and recommend it!:)

When i read all reviews i was soo nerous about staying at the trizas but needn't have been the rooms were fine had a little living and kitchen area a bath room and a bedroom! we had a balcony on looking the sea it was georgous! we were only 2 mins away from the beach which was slightly peblely! i would recomend getting up early and walking 10mins to fig tree beach its beautiful pure white sands and clear blue sea but go early as the sun beds go quickly!!! I would recommend eating at a restarant on looking the beach i cant remember the name but if you turn right after geogios before mc donalds and walk to the end towards the beach on your right its such a beautiful place they do alot of weddings there!! also for fussy kids there is a pizza hut right outside the trizas to your left and mc donalds to your right!!! if you walk up the strip to the left of the hotel about 10 mins up is a friends bar were u can sit and watch episodes of friends whilst you drink!! at the trizas you are in the centre of the strip there are two minigolf courses to choose from lots of water sports and for a little more of a lively atmosphere you only need to take the bus to ayia napa!! the pool wasnt merky when we stayed there it was clear a cool!! the pool area has sunbeds all around but i would reccommend getting a bead next to the little baby part of the pool in the corner as that was were the sun stayed the longest!!! lots of supermarkets/ sweet shops lots of gift shops a great place to stay!!!! there was an english lady on reception when we stayed she was soo helpful!!!! Also i did not see one cockroache!!! but the maid service was about 4 times a week!!!!!

Excellent value for money

Having read previous reviews we were really worried about our visit to the Trizas, but needn't have been. The location as everyone said was perfect, the rooms are basic but clean and spacious with maid service 6 days per week. The pool was cleaned everyday and yes at the end of the day was sometimes a little cloudy (I'm sure that this was due to suntan lotions) but there was no smell in either the pool or the corridors and the pool bar was open each day. My only criticism would be that the aircon was in one bedroom only and not the whole apartment. Would I stay there again YES, would I recommend it YES at the end of the day you get what you pay for, if you want luxury then pay more and stay at one of the many luxury hotels, if you want a cheap base from which to have a fantastic holiday then you could do a lot worse! Try the Olympus Restaurant (Fig tree bay end) for a fantastic meal with excellent service and lots of smiles from Flouris and his wonderful staff! Nearer to the hotel Oscars Restaurant served great food again with excellent service and the Daphni pub did a mean breakfast!

TRIZAS

10 July 2007
The Trizas is in a good central location in Protaras which is a great resort. The Trizas pool unfortunatly had a strange smell as did the corridors of the hotel. The pool bar was never open and the staff (apart from one young lady and an older gentelman) were very rude especially the night porter who we found especially offensive and at times quite threatening. We were also not too happy to find we had cockroaches in our bathroom and kitchen. If you visit Protaras don’t stay at the Trizas, as there are a lot of other much nicer apartments available at lower cost. Make sure you visit Fig tree bay and eat at Anatolia restaurant. Make sure you make a note to go to Mojitos bar and grill it does the nicest grub and great cocktails with a brilliant atmosphere and the friendliest staff, its loacated a short walk out of Protaras towards Perena and well worth the short walk.

Trizas Apts

The apartments are situated in an ideal location in the centre of the resort but we suffered noise from one or two local bars at the end of the evening. A guest told us she had complained regarding the filthy swimming pool but luckily this had been cleaned by the time we arrived. The apartment was cleaned regularly and the staff seemed ok. The pool bar was closed the whole time we were there which was disappointing. Good value accomodation but not sure if would stay there again. Trizas is in need of some TLC.

Review of 'Trizas Apartments'

30 October 2006
Clean and well equipped apartment, friendly staff, maid service 5 out of the 7 days. Nice pool area and the apartments are in a central position. Try the erato for evening meals and hippocampus for breakfast and snacks = excellent food. Loved every minute but not sure i would holiday there in height of the season, may or october for us. Some noise from 1 of the neighbouring hotels, (club singer type entertainment) but finished at midnight and worth a laugh.
