What a fantastic hotel! Great entrance and lobby, bar etc. Rooms were good size and beds soooo comfy. Only downside was had to wait 3 hours for our room - didn't get in til 3.30. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Only 10 mins walk to get to Temple Row.

Fantastic! Don't be put off by any reviews mentioning the fire station next door. The only problem was the room was very hot. Great friendly informative reception staff, lovely room, fab hotel decor and furniture. I'd definately go back!

Dublin's finest!
14 February 2008
This really is a fantastic hotel. We had a room at the front of the hotel and it was fab. The bed was huge, probably in fact the biggest bed we have ever slept in, really, really comfortable. The facilities in the room were excellent and very clean. As to the hotel being dark, well yes it is, as far as the colours of the decor, but we felt it added to the ambience. The decor is amazing with some of the biggest mirrors and chandeliers we have ever seen. The hotel staff are all extremely helpful and even looked after our bags before we had to leave for our flight home. The location was perfect. All in all this was an excellent hotel, with excellent facilities and we will certainly be going back and we would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic!

What can I say?? This has to be one of the most amazing hotels that I have ever stayed in! The decor was classy, I loved it! I had read some of the other reviews & was surprised when they said the dark colours were dull. I would agree that they were dark, but 100% classy. I have been raving about this hotel. Location is great aswell, really close to everything. The rooms were spotless clean & the beds and amenities in the room were brilliant. Not having to ring down to reception to get an iron & ironing board, its great. Big mugs for a cuppa with a complimentry few biscuits. Nice touch!
We were late going down to breakfast but the food was still really fresh & the staff were very friendly & helpful. I give this hotel 100 out of 100! Loved it!

GOOD LOCATION
15 November 2007
Good Central location. Within walking distance of temple bar and the shops.
Hotel nice although painted very dark colours so could look a bit dull.
But room nice the only bad thing i would say is that there was a fire station next to Hotel so you coud often hear them at night.
But i have stayed in Hotels in Dublin before near the main roads and these are a lot more noisy and harder to sleep.

Nice interior decor, service a bit hit and miss
13 March 2007
We arrived at the hotel early, at 12pm and Reception allowed us to store our bags pre-check in. Initial impressions were good - great art deco look, pleasant receptionist, good location. When we returned at 3.10pm (check in is from 2pm), another receptionist informed us our room wasn't ready. She paged housekeeping, kept us waiting without any update for about 10 minutes, gave someone else their room key, and when I challenged this, explained that that guy's room was much better than ours, so hence his was ready first. Having said that, her eastern European accent was very strong, and I may have misunderstood this!
When we did get to our room (about 20 mins later), it was very pleasant - oval, good-sized and with a comfy bed and lots of character. It was a little tired-looking if you looked too closely (but I understand the hotel is undergoing refurbishment). The room and communal areas e.g. corridors looked like they could do with some tlc generally - the dark paint probably didn't help. Also, our front-facing windows were so badly fitted we initially thought they were open, so slept with ear-plugs in to stop the traffic noise disturbing us.
Breakfast was fine - not Irish, just standard cooked, and it took a while for us to be seated/get cutlery, but there was plenty of food and it was pleasant enough.
Best points were location and character - worst were check-in delay/attitude and street noise. Would stay there again for a weekend break if luxury wasn't paramount and the price was right!

Very friendly and helpful staff; a central location (2 minutes walk to Temple Bar area); reasonably sized rooms that are clean and comfortable. The hotel is on a very busy road, and with no air-con means an open window is essential when the weather is hot. Of course this does mean a fair amount of traffic noise. That said, I had no trouble sleeping. The hotel is right next door to a fire station and during our two day stay the engines were out at least 3 times. We only had breakfast in the hotel, but the food was good.
Hotel condition is reasonable - quite a few large stains on carpets in public areas and in my room. But generally seemed well kept. My only annoyance was that my bath had no plug. Even though I asked for this to be sorted out, one never turned up.
Overall a pleasant hotel at a reasonable price.

Great location and friendly staff. Room was nice and clean and hotel had nice atmosphere. Breakfast was okay and plenty of it. Only a short walk from Temple bar etc and Trinity College was just across the road!! Only concern was very busy road at the front and fire staion next door. We were worried at first but both slept without any problems. We stayed for 4 days and would stop again without a second thought.

The Trinity Capital is a very comfortable hotel, the rooms are a good size, nicely furnished and very clean. We were initially concerned as our room overlooked the fire station, but it was quiet from early evening until about 7am. The staff were all very helpful. The food in the hotel was very good, especially the breakfast, where there was a wide choice & plenty of it! It is centrally located within easy walk of all the main sights, which made it ideal. I would recommend this hotel & I will certainly stay there again.

Excellent location in the heart of Dublin. Close enought to Temple Bar to be able to enjoy all the bars, restaurants and clubs yet not so close that you'll be bothered by noise when you sleep. Friendly and helpful staff. Room service menu is inexpensive but the quality could do with some improvement.

The Hotel is modern and new.The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was well presented and clean, however room 224 overlooks the fire station and each morning the fire crew test all there equipment and the noise was a little loud for our liking.Having said that because of the centrel location and especially the friendlyness of the staff I would stay again except I would request a front room.

If you are looking for a hotel in Dublin, look no further than the Trinity Capital. From the moment we walked in, the reception staff were very helpful, whilst i was filling out the relevant info, the receptionist took a map and marked on places like shopping streets, nightlife and things to my Girlfriend. The breakfast was absolutly first class and the location was very good. Didnt have far to walk to get to temple bar guinnes brewery etc. The rooms are large and comfortable with all the amenities that you would need. We had an early flight and there was no problem getting our breakfast at 6 in the morning. There is the fire station below but i can guarantee you will not hear a sound from it. In all I would recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to go to Dublin.
