Trinite Plaza
25 July 2008
The hotel Trinite Plaza is situated in the heart of Pigal on the out skirts of central Paris and is only a 5 minute walk from the opera and Moulin Rouge. The hotel was a tricky one to find as it is situated amidst various one way streets and small passage ways and would not regard as an easy find, unless you are armed with a sat-nav or you are a map reading instructor at professional military level! Despite being advertised as ‘parking available’ the parking facilities consist of a multi-storey about ½ kilometre away at a not very cheap prise of 25 euro a day.
The reception is very smart with English speaking employees with a small bar area. The rooms were less than impressive. A bed, a bathroom, and that’s about it! Certainly the phrase ‘not enough room to swing a cat around’ was adopted while designing the layout of this hotel and taken to the boundaries when building the bathroom. Its certainly not often my knees are constricted by the bath while being sat on the loo, and no…that’s not because the bath is big, in fact quite the opposite.
At night I was conflicted in being kept awake between either being to hot with the windows closed or kept awake by the never ending hustle and bustle of the sex shops and takeaways on the same street that are very noisy and disruptive thought out the night to early morning if I had the windows open.

Trinite Plaza - July 08 (4 nights)
23 July 2008
From the start, met by very nice staff, speaking perfect English – which was important as I speak no French other than the normal “can you speak English” phrase. We met a variety of staff on the reception - all of which had a great sense of humour and extremely helpful.
Room was on the 3rd floor, which was accessible by lift or stairs. A reasonable sized room, which was clean and tidy, overlooking the road. The room came complete with a fridge fully stocked with drinks, which no doubt had to be paid for, but we didn’t use any of it, so cannot give any advice on the prices. A television with a selection of channels – not that you will need it! A very small bath (without a plug), but a very acceptable powerful shower. Bed was comfortable, though without air conditioning the room got a bit stuffy at night. Road noise, made it impossible to leave the balcony doors open. There is an electric oscillating fan in the cupboard, which was sufficient to allow a good night’s sleep.
Breakfast is continental. Bread, croissants, cereal and juice. The waitresses are constantly clearing and cleaning the tables to allow the steady stream of guests to sit down. The will bring tea, coffee or hot chocolate to the table on request. I definitely thought there was big enough variety to cope with most people’s diets. We went down for breakfast at various times during our stay and we were seated quickly and always had enough to eat.
The hotel is situated just 5 minutes walk to the Moulin Rouge (uphill), 20 minutes slow walking (uphill) to Sacré-Coeur. The Paris Opera, and Galeries Lafayette are just 10 minutes walk away downhill. Metro’s in either direction (up or downhill) are just 5 minutes walk.
Things to watch out for at Sacré-Coeur: Teams of con artists are working around here, they will attempt to intimidate you to get you to buy their silly cotton bracelets – we saw lots of people conned! A pleasant “no” as you walk by should be enough to keep them at bay. Also, loads of con men working on tables, doing the “find the lady trick”. 3 round discs, one with a white mark. Name of the game is to point to the one which has the white mark. You will see people winning, but they are part of the team, they encourage you to bet your hard earned cash and you will get stung every time.
We had a thoroughly good time, never felt threatened and would definitely go back.

Good Holiday!
17 May 2007
The hotel was clean and well maintained, our room was fine, good comfy bed and an ensuite. It wasn't the biggest hotel room I've ever been in but well presented and perfectly adequate. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice but otherwise no complaints. All of the reception staff were friendly, spoke excellent English, and were extremely helpful. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the Opera. Given Paris prices the Trinite is excellent value for money, and a great base for a sightseeing/shopping trip. I would have no hesitation in recomending the hotel and would gladly stay there again on my next trip to Paris.

Review of 'TRINITE PLAZA'
06 February 2007
hotel was clean, most staff was very friendly and willing to give assistance. no complementry tea of coffee in room, the room was so tiny yet they manage to squeeze 3 beds in there, the room could only be best discrbed as only fit for miniture people. we had to sllep with one hand on the floor and physically get up to turn to prevent from falling out. excellent spot for getting aroud and the night desk guys were so helpful. will go back only if we have different rooms. trying to get in and out of the bath was another story, i commend them for getting a functional bathroom into such a tiny space.

Good Location, Friendly Staff, Breafast adequate but not inspiring. Room could use a bit of maintenance. Don't stay here if it's a "special" trip to Paris but it's fine if you're sight-seeing on a budget. We will stay here again for sure.
