The accommodation here is lovely on appearance, no air con, but you do get 2 mobile fans (which followed us around constantly) you get plenty of space, a large balcony and we were even lucky enough to have a roof terrace. The beds are a little uncomfortable but after a few sangrias you won't care... There are lots of little places to eat, drink and get supplies near by, not that you'll be given that information to start with. The Garden is very well mantained with trees to provide shade, and a life guard mans to pool for 10am -3pm and again from 4pm - 9pm. If you like figuring out a new area on your own then this is for you, but there is no reception or guidance as local people live in this complex and rent out the rooms to holiday makers, which does not create a social holiday environment. On arrival just after midnight (with no welcome pack) on a sunday... we were told we wouldn't find a supermarket to get food or water, open near by so the next day in the 36 degree sunshine we set out to see what we could find with only a map and knowing very little spanish. It was a great holiday, but bear in mind unless you hire a car, a 15min walk in the UK to the shops is fine BUT in the spanish heat it does take a lot out of you! Not recommended if you have Kids!

Excellent Base

We stayed at Torremar for 3 nights and we couldn't have been happier. The apartment was clean and spacious and had a huge balcony which overlooked the good sized pool. There is still some construciton going on at the complex so there was some early morning noise but it didn't cause us too much of a problem. The gardens are very pretty with plenty of shade provided by palm trees. Although we didn't self-cater the apartment was fully euiped had we wished to. We would definitely stay there again.

Torremar 5

Apartments were clean and spacious with a very large balcony overlooking the pool which also had sea views. The welcome pack is a nice touch especially if you arrive late. We only stayed a few days because we were completing on our own property but I would recommend it to families couples and groups. Quite central.

A Short Break at Torremar Apartments

10 July 2007
The first thing to note is that Torremar VI, which is where we stayed, is not a commercial aparthotel. Each apartments is privately owned with Bridge International owning a number. There is no reception and the building is secure, you must phone the Bridge representative to get access keys. We missed this in the small print. Our apartment was two bedroom with a large, well-provided kitchen area. There are 6 Torremar blocks surrounding a central, secure garden and pool (the pool closes between 15:00 and 16:00 when the lifeguard goes to lunch). There are a number of competitive restaurants and bars within an easy walk and the beach is about 5 minutes away - allow 10 coming back, it is all uphill! The welcome pack did not include bread but did include wine! We had a great break, relaxing beside the pool and spending evenings in the nearby bars. Not five star but excellent value for the cost of the room.
