My partner and I booked our stay here at short notice. After booking we checked out reviews from past guests and after reading them we were dreading going there. We spent four nights there in early may 2008. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel reception was much better than we expected. The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. There was fresh towels every day. The food was ok but a bit boring. Very little entertainment in evenings and what there was, was not that good. Huge bar but seriously under staffed with very grumpy rude barmen who couldn,t smile at you if their life depended on it. Reception staff were friendly though.The pool areas looked clean but smelled of drains but there were plenty of sun loungers. Lots of young germans staying there and I would imagine that in peak season it would be very noisy. A plus is the medieval night which is free, you just pay for the bus. Great night . All in all we would not go back there again. Ok for short break off season but wouldn't like the usual 2 week stay.
