when we arrived we were told thatalpharooms had only just sent are confirmation that morning and the hotel was over booked, but the management were fantastic and very helpful they offered us apartments across the road but they were smelly so we went back and told the manager who then rang alovely hotel by the beach and he took us there in his car, we still walked up to the hotel for our allinclusive and we were very impressed food was good and evening entertainment was fab for adults and children, on the forth floor was a bar terrace and jacussi, would go back there again, it is on a hill and if you walk down to the beach it is quite steep walking back up.

clean and good value.
pool good size. food very good and plenty of it. rooms clean and tidy.
if your looking for cheap and easy with good value and are stopping for about a week this is very good, any longer and you may start to get bored with the same old evening entertainment, seems popular with stag/hen do's due to all inc and price, but that just added to the fun factor for me and made up for eve entertainment.
36 euro from reus by cab.
bus stops outside hotel.
easy access to salou, can walk 20-30 min bit of a hike though.
can be loud at night from other rooms, doors banging etc..
don't expect ritz and your good to go!

I am just back from a few days in Salou and i cannot fault this hotel, after reading all the reviews before i went i was dreading to think what our stay would be like. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were very basic but clean, there was plenty of food for breakfast. Lovely big pool area, entertainment at night, and most important the weather was gorgeous. I would stay at this hotel again, it was a 15-20 min walk to centre of Salou but it was a nice walk along the beach front. For the price we paidvat this hotel it was well worth it!!

We had read the reviews on the hotel and were worried about what we would be in for but we were very pleased, the food was great, the sevice was great, the rooms were basic but all we needed and seviced daily, the staff were always helpfull and friendly, we went in the quiet season and have said that it would be very noisy in the busy months as the walls are paper thin and the halls are very noisy but that has nothing to do with the hotel only with the bad manners of some of the people that stay there. We would definitely stay there again

Having read reviews of this place on many other wbsites I was massiely worried about going to this hotel. I even rang Alpharooms to make sure I could move if it was indeed as bad as others say.
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong.
This Hotel is basic, but both comfortable and clean throughout.
The staff were on the hole very friendly and helpful, the facilities were good and the pool and sun bathingareas were great. Loved the Spa Baths on the roof wih their own bar... great sun trap.
The food was very good quality for Spain, not just a random bit of meat thrown on the hot plate then served bleeding. Good variety of mains and deserts.
I'd defo go back here again!
My only complaint was the queue at the bar, but they worked exceptionally hard to get that going.
Dont expect 5 star luxury and you'll be happy. A pleased customer

I stayed in the hotel in May.
When we first came we all thought that is was really good, but as the week went on the hotel discusted me.
The dinning room smelt really bad, every night we had to go into town to get somthing to eat.
The staff was really unfriendly, if you asked them something they just said I dont understand you. In the hotel the walls were really thin so you could hear the people in the room beside you talking and laughing.
It said on the hotels website that it was a 10 min walk into the town but it was really a 15 min drive. The entertainment was really bad at night, it was the same thing every night but only a different person doing it. I would never say in that hotel ever again

The rooms are basic but clean and all of the communal areas like the bar ,reception are kept lovely. The pool area is big with lots of sun beds but it didnot open until 10am which was a pain on a hot day.The queues for drinks was not that bad and the staff did work very hard. The food was fine lots of choice but you will never please every one and some of our party found it repetative. In all it is great value for money and if you book it thats what you need to remember it is not horrible or nasty any of it.It was noisy some nights but thats not the hotels fault ,some people do not know how to behave themselves where ever they are.As we were leaving a couple of stag party's had arrived and school trips so it was getting busier, but don't be put off.Just dont book it if your unless you realise you can have a great holiday but only if you have realistic expectation's taking into account the cost.

Ok so what can you say about the hotel?? Heres my list- Location. In a hilly part of Cap Salou. So doesn't suit people who would struggle. But it is set in a part of the resort which is pretty, lots of established pine trees and good views, near a clean small beach which is really nice. There aren't stacks of bars nearby but enough as you will likely be all inclusive anyway I think. The hotel. Fine. Clean, friendly staff, big pool and sunbathing area. Large bar area with entertainment. Tea and coffee always avaialble from a machine. The food? Well it is fine as things go. But considereing the price that you pay it really is excellent!! Every meal- chicken, fish, meat, maybe pork or beef, pasta, salad bar, a Spanish dish. During our stay we had steak pie, biryani, chili, steak, pork chops, loads really and to be fair you cannot complain. It is a typical Spanish Resort hotel. Would stay there again no problems!!! Downside- the entertainment is a bit lame. The kids mini disco starts far too late so you are listening to kids music until about 9.30- loud and annoying. The bar is far too brightly lit which means it doesn't have any atmsophere at all and is bit like a department store cafe. But I did say we'd stay again given all that so make up your own minds. Rent a car as it works out the same cost wise if your a family. A taxi is 38 euros one way and the pick up bus 6 euros each so in the end it maybe cheaper for a week stay. Also the hotel let you keep your room on if it's a late departure, if they have the room. It cost us 30 euros but it was well worth it. Hope this helps.

wasn't as bad as i thought
21 September 2007
after reading the reports on this hotel i was absolutely dreading going, my mum and dad had booked it for me and my fiance for a wedding present along with my parents for 1 weeks beginning 13th september 2007. I had read the reviews and didn't have the heart to tell my parents what they said. We arrived at the hotel and i was very impressed, the reception area was beautiful, big and very clean. The staff were very helpful and we were checked in within 5 minutes of queueing. Our rooms were spacious, with 3 beds, tv, bathroom and balcony, plenty of room for me and my finance. we had quick change and down for tea, which was spectacular, we all got drinks from the bar, all in glasses not plastic cups, the choice was massive and everywhere was spotlessly clean with at least 4 girls cleaning tables.
there was plenty of sunbeds, plenty of staff to see to you and no trouble. The staff are not rude they are spanish and i think alot of english people are rude for expecting them to speak english but they wouldn't dream of learning spanish.

I was abit worried about going on this holiday after I had read some of the reviews. But I had to go or loose my money and disappoint my husband and son! I thought that the hotel was very good for the money we paid, the food was good, my son loved meal times! Most of the staff were not very friendly, but reception was very helpful. We went out most days all day to make the most of it, as there were quite a few families there that really use the all inclusive all day as in drink all day and all night and have a rave up at night. But apart from that and on our last day there was a big punch up outside the hotel at 9.00am they were the only things that put me off. I would not go there again, but you have to try places so you know what they are like. We did have a good time as we were out and about having a laugh.

05 August 2007
We recently stayed at this hotel with our kids and we were slightly disappointed with this hotel, we had to keep asking for clean towels the air conditioning was very loud and it automatically switched itself off at 7.30am every morning. We have 2 chilren and we had 4 single beds all squashed in the bedroom and couldn't open our wardrobe door properly as a result of that. The only free ice cream's were in the restaurant and were not allowed to be taken from there so if the kids wanted one ( which is every half hour on a hot day by the pool!) we had to get dried and dressed and trek up to the restaurant. The toilets all smelt quite bad and none of the doors had locks on either. And our doorstop in the bathroom was a rusty screw which I nearly trod on when I stepped from the shower which was a crappy trickle that I struggled to wash my hair in.The food was ok but it was the same menu all the time. In short we just made the best of a bad situation Salou was a lovely place itself but I wouldn't go back to this hotel We think the rating should be changed to a 2 star. Some of the bar staff were lovely but there was a really miserable one who was really hard work who ignored the kids waiting for drinks in the queue.

Dont expect to much n you wont be dissapointed
19 July 2007
i visited the hotel for my 18th birthday and stayed there for 2weeks and to be honest it was the best time of my life.all the bar staff are so friendly and polite and make you feel so comfortable as soon as you arrive, they showed me and a group of friends an amazing club not too far away "The crows nest" wich i would like to thank them for as my lifes goal has now come true thanks to all of them!
i do agree with some of the other comments on the smell as me and my friends had also noticed but people are over exagerating as it wasnt that bad,
the food was nice apart from it seemed to be all the same menu to me so i lived on pasta for the 2weeks of my stay so i would like to thank the hotel for my weight loss(wich is a good thing)
I think if you dont expect the best for the low price that the holiday is then youll be very pleased but alot of people are expecting too much...if u want everything completely perfect as you are expecting from this hotel then go to a 5 star as remember this 1 is only a 3....but its a place to stay on the cheap and every1 makes you feel welcome what more do you want??

I stayed at this hotel and was appalled by the way the hotel smelt when we walked in. It smelt of sewage. We then got in to our room and the bathroom was covered in ants. We complained and to be fair they went and cleaned them up. The hotel was overall a very disappointing stay we were getting woke up at 2-3am by loud noises of people coming in. I did however think that the food and the staff were very good but I will not be going back there or recommending it to anyone.

This is a typical Spanish 3 star hotel. Food Adequate but a bit samey... plenty of choice so you made your own variety. Rooms basic but clean and sorted each day. Entertainment variable... entertainer worked very hard to keep evrybody happy and some of the shows were really good... Blues Brothers and Soul Sisters were two of the best. Bingo regularly played if you like that. Drinks were all inclusive so no problem there, but the staff throughout the hotel were a little "surly" with the exception of the maids who always said hello. Reception was generally slow, especially when lots checking in. Overall... what we expected, value for money so no complaints.

I arrived at this hotel totally nervous due to the review already posted here, i found the reception staff very friendly and the rooms clean and spacious enough for 2 alults staying, the food was awful, no variety and taste, but for free is was ok. the bar staffvery rude and gave the impression of disgust and annoyance of being asked to do anything. 4th floor brilliant no kids, but 2 much of an old peoples theme. I'm 15 years old and stayed at this hotel with my mum and my little sister. We got there ok and when we got there i thought it looked like an old peoples home. We got to the reception and i found them very friendly. We got a room on the 3rd floor and i went onto the balcony and i could see a backlane, nothing else, So then i thought how great "NOT"...But this was 3 in the morning. So the next day we were late for breakfast(only had 10 mins left). I thought it was very boring until the second night there. Bar staff are GREAT, most AMAZIN people i have ever met. So friendly and polite and always have a a smile on their faces!!...3rd Night i went out with my mum and a couple of people we met there. We went salou and i had the best time ever. The best club there is EnjoySalou, not good for older people but great for young girlies!!..
Then the next day we went out(me nd the girl i met there) and went salou again but then one of the waiters asked us if we wanted to come with them. The pub/club they took us to was called CROWS Nest and another great place to go and it's not far from the hotel. So we went with him and met the rest (Pedro, Dani, Jimmy, Danny, The Chef) They are all great people. I was out with them for 5 days and i was only there for a week...What i'm trying to say is if you get on the right side of them they will treat you proper nice, and polite. There is a security guard there, who i was talking to till early hours of the morning with one of the waiters(4.30 in the mornin!!)...Food was brilliant, there were a lot of chips but a wide variety of different salads, meats, potatoes, rice and also food for vegetarians. Yes the walls were paper thin and you could hear everything but your not goin to spend the whole of your holiday in your room are ya!! Ok the entertainment wasn't too great but Dan The Man was good. Very funny and great with the youngsters. Rooms were quite small cus we were 3 people in a room with 2 beds. This hotel was the best, and i'm even going back there in October...So see you soon guys!!!Loves you all XxXxX Contact me if you were here the same time as me!!! see previous review with the lads, this time we returned with my family and another couple, four kids in total. the hotel was really good value, we hired a car for the week at 70 quid which shaves loads off the taxi and theme park fair and the additional 8 euros to salou. I love cap salou you can just dip into salou when you want. anyways we drew the short straw this time, no fault of the hotel just drunken idiots who are just too loud. they care not for others but they could be anywhere. on another note rumours of the tummy bug was rife and three children and the two women fell ill for two days (not the blokes) there was a bad drain smell. All in all I would still go again, avoid the fourth floor. finally if you can get the sea view its great, as are the 5th floor jaquzees!

First of all I do not want the title to give the wrong impression. The hotel was better than I expected – there were a lot of reviews saying it was poor but to me I found it alright. Ok, it’s not a 5-star hotel in picturesque surroundings, but then it never claimed to be. It does exactly what it says on the tin, nice family hotel in Salou that doesn’t charge the earth. For those of you travelling there, do not be put off by the other reviews, here is what it’s really like. The reception was nice, better than you’ll expect it to be. There are lifts to get up and down with as well as stairs. There were 2 bars (all free till midnight) a swimming pool and a kids swimming pool, as well as an adult Jacuzzi (nothing sordid though!!!) the rooms were clean enough, the beds give you chronic backache (I have been all over Europe and found worse beds in 5stars so don’t be put off) there is a TV in the room as well if you speak Spanish. There is internet access in the lobby. Also there is a nice balcony you can sit on and it has a great view partially overlooking the sea, amazing, especially in the morning. There was an incident when a young lad fell from his balcony and was in hospital in a coma. The staff working on the front desk were all very nice, the staff at the bar were also ok, their English wasn’t great but they know the word beer ok and that only leave us with the canteen staff. Well…… one lady was constantly speaking to herself (very funny) and another lady kept dropping plates (again very amusing) – which brings me to the food, it was ok, (LEMON JELLY was gorgeous) they had a lot of verity but it didn’t really differ from day to day. They did have a nice selection of cheeses and Pates as well but you will find your self eating lots of chips. There is a nice sandy beach just down the road, Salou city is not far away, good for shopping, (brilliant Jet Ski’s there, very very powerful) and there are bus runs to Barcelona daily for about 25 euros. The best thing of all though, no Germans!!!!
That’s about it really, this hotel it NOT the RITZ, but it can be as good as you make it…enjoy!!!

Me and my boyfriend returned from a holiday at this hotel a couple of days ago. After having read some of the reviews we were a bit weary of staying here, but actually found that the hotel was brilliant. Although not situated in the best area of Salou (however is about a 20 minute walk to the centre) the entertainment at the hotel meant there was actually no need to leave. The bar staff could have been friendlier but considering the hours they work you could forgive them for being grumpy. The entertainment team were really friendly, and the reception staff were very helpful.
The food at the hotel was nice, with a healthy option on all occasions.
Overall, I found the hotel ideal for a young couple and would definitely return.

Just returned from this hotel and I must say that I have stayed here several times over the years and although it is a bit noisey at night its no more so than other places I have stayed for twice the cost. Bar staff could be more polite at times but considering the pressure they are under Im not surprised they get a bit miffed. Reception staff are helpfull no matter what the enquiry, and they get better looking each time haha. If you want a quiet holiday then give this place a wide birth but, if its an enjoyable and affordable all inclusive holiday you want, then this is the place for you. Im going back again in another two weeks - I love it there.

you should get the airporto bus from the airport, it takes you to your hotel and if you want offers a return trip..it is only 9.95 euros return per person, so if you are a party of 3 or less this would be your best transfer method..4 or more get a taxi for the fare will cost you 35 euro's each way...
i can say the weather was fantistic so we did not really notice that the hotel is a bit out of the way..
i have stayed at this hotel before which was a factor in choosing the molinos park for our stay this time.
unfortunately i was unimpressed with the standard of the hotel compaired to our last visit.... the food was diabolical..my daughter(21) lived on chips and gravy for 3 days..chicken was WELL cooked !! i suppose this was to ensure there was no food poisoning but there is only so much dried out chicken you can eat...chips were in abundance..which was just as well as we were not impressed at all with the choice of food..it was cold..maybe if the plates were hot the food would be better. always have followed the golden rule hot plates equalls hot food.
the entertainment was laugh..there was a hypnotist who could'nt hypnotise anyone...the usual parrot show that is rushed..the "tom jones" impersonater was good tho and i'm not just saying that because i live in wales( i'm english). danny the entertainer tried his best but the sound system was either lousy or it's he can't speak clearly( the girls seamed to manage ok).. as for MISS SALOU...it was so bad i am not going to say anything more aboout it.
we didn't encounter the day entertainment as we took refuge on the 5th floor which has 2 jacuzz's and is adults only..there's another 2 on the 4th floor also adult only..and with a bar too.
we found the bar staff ok and they even smiled with our pathetic attempts at spanish but at least we tried compared to other guests who i found to be very rude and ungracious.
yes the walls are thin, but if you are considerate to other guests you should not have music-tv blasting. yes its a cheap all inclusive. and yes you get what you pay for.
perhaps if the prices were raised a bit and priorities addressed i think the molinos park could be a good hotel.

I cant see whats to moan about with the price you paid! Ive been to salou six times now. So the move out to cap salou is good for me, its just like booking the many Best band hotels in salou but you get a discount due to the location. bar service was fast, food great, i went with four lads and am already booked to take my wife and family in june with another family. love the jacuzzis on the roof how relaxing without the kids. If you want a cheap good value holiday thats clean then use this, if you want to pay more then do so. i paid £109 for 3 nights all inc with flights, now how can i moan! loved it.

Review of 'TOP MOLINOS PARK'
25 November 2006
Myself and a friend stayed in molinos park in October. We had a look at the reviews before we went an got a mixed idea of what to expect ......... we got there and thought it was FANTASTIC and didnt want to come home !!! The rooms were basic but Very clean. The poolside was great an had english music playing all day long. The entertainment was great day an night. The staff were really nice and always looking to help in anyway possible. the food was great and always had plenty of choice. The hotel is not in the town or the center of things going on but only a walking distance to the sea an a few shops but to go into town was only & euros or 3 euros on the train that also goes to the theme park. We are already looknig at booking for next year. We thought it was well worth the price an would recommend for young people. mature people, families.....EVERYONE looking for a great holiday an worth the price !!!!!

We booked the hotel for a short break (fri 2 mon) at the end of October 27/10/06. Really enjoyed the food and refreshments, if u go make sure u go to the roof terrace on the fourth floor with 2 hot tubs and a bar. Hotel is a typical 3 star it's clean and basic but you get what you pay for. A word of warning!! We got the local bus (BUS PLANA) return ticket (10.50 euros) at the airport it didn't come to pick us up to return to the airport we had to rush and get a taxi(30 euros) or we would have missed the check in time for our flight. This wasn't the hotels fault but make sure that the service is running before you book it.

Great staff, good food, and close enough to the sea.Very clean throughout. Good transport facilities, taxis and buses on door step.
Problems. Room walls were VERY VERY thin which enabled every conversation to be overheard. We were plagued by noisy neighbours which security were unable, despite many attempts, to control. The family made us ashamed to be british! As there was no sound proofing every time someone knocked on a nearby door we thought it was ours. This could easily and cheaply be cured by fitting spy holes in entry doors. We would go again IF room to room soundproofing was better and spyholes fitted. Otherwise it would be a big NO NO.

Review of 'TOP MOLINOS PARK'
21 August 2006
For the price of the holiday we were thrilled with the outcome. The staff were really welcoming. The Barmen are lovely, despite being rushed off their feet. Our room was basic but clean (and cleaned daily) with a balcony and see view to the right; the food was varied and we always found something we loved; The entertainment was a bit cheesy but great fun once you got into it and it's worth a trip to meet MJ, Claire and Nick - the entertainment team just made our 10 year old's holiday the best! Buses to anywhere regularly from just around the corner; short hop to town, short journey to Port Aventura (fab) and a 5/10 min walk to a wonderful cove beach. For a family with young children, perfect location/accommodation and package. You don't have to drink yourself silly to get value from this all inclusive package. Well done Molinos and thanks!

Food was lovely, couldn,t stop eating. Plenty of choice and always hot. Room was typical of Spanish hotel with four beds in the room but lots of hot water available and beds made every day. Quiet area of Salou with not much outside the hotel but the bus stop is right outside to take you into Salou and easy to catch to Portaventura. Also the bus runs back into the night so no trouble to get around. Good hotel for a family holiday. All inclusive is a real plus with children.

Review of 'TOP MOLINOS PARK'

We stayed at the hotel in june 2006, after reading the reports my parents were a little worried but we decided we hadnt paid much for the holiday so we werent expecting the ritz. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasently surprised, it looked clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and the food was good but the other holiday makers were very noisy.(fights at night and the police came most evening). The rooms were very tired and needed updating. The pool area was full of rubbish and broken plastic cups.Overall we had a good holiday because we spent most of our time at the beach and just went back to the holtel to eat and sleep.wouldnt return to the hotel but salou was a lovely place. The best part of our holiday was port aventura we had a gr8 day at the theme park and at the water park would recommend it!If you havent booked yet DONT !!
