Summer holiday
07 July 2008
Pros - Centrally Located, friendly and helpful Staff, food in restaurant was good and the menu varied daily. Rooms are satisfactory and clean.
Cons - Forget it that you sleep during the night, lots of young people showing no respect to others, who stay up late till 5.00 - 6.00am with stereo full on. Very noisy and there is no airconditioning or at least a Ceiling Fan.
Overall not bad when you consider the price paid, but next time I will take in consideration to find a place were at least you can sleep during the night.

girls long weekend away
22 May 2008
After reading the reviews on here and other sites, i was extremely concerned - very concerned as I had booked the trip for 6 of us. i gently warned the others at the airport and told them some of the comments. Well I have to say i was pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel was very noisy but at the end of the day our group made enough noise and came in late like all the others. The hotel was dated, nothing a lick of paint wouldn't improve. The rooms were very clean as were the bathrooms with clean towels daily. Infact the whole hotel was exceptionally clean bearing in mind the number of clients all just dumping empty glasses and food plates everywhere. The food in the restuarant was good, typical of a spanish hotel. To be quite honest it was good being in a lively hotel , everyone was really friendly and I have to say we had a great time.

GREAT HOLIDAY
05 May 2008
You get what you pay for!
After reading reviews we knew what to expect and were pleasantly surprised.
Rooms, mediocre, but clean.
Food aversage, always something to eat, even for the fussy (me)
We had a great holiday, I'm 38 and Neil is 45, there were lots of stag & hen do's there and wouldn't recommend this as a family holiday, not only because of rowdy people, but bcos of the layout of the hotel, there are lots of steps to terraces and pools, which could prove potentioal hazards for the young and elderly too
But I must say, all in all a great holiday for the price we paid, would definitely re visit

First impressions of hotel was quite positive, staff and room accomodation was satisfactory, meals were satisfactory with plesant dining area however......the majority of guests staying in the hotel during our stay had totally no respect for others on their hols, the majority of these guests were young french students? Who were very dominant and unrurly during their stay and having talked to several staff they book in regular throughout the year.
They had no respect for other guests and displayed outragious behaviour throughout the day and night and caused major grief with the spanish police. We were subjected to sleepless nights and had to listen to other holidaymakers moaning about the noisy atmosphere however we laft it off on took oursleves off into the lovely resort of loret and soaked up the sun xxx

never again
22 April 2008
this hotel is not a family hotel we stayed there 8th-15th april 2008, food was the same all week cabbage soup(water) or carrot and noodle soup(water), full of students and hen and stag do"s, people running through the hotel till 4-5am slamming doors shouting and screaming.
I know this a cheap holiday but i would not recommed it at all.

Loud and Lairy!!
15 April 2008
Hotel was nice rooms basic but very clean, staff lovely, food was good enough, location of the hotel was fantastic. The only downer was the fact that everybody who seemed to be staying at the hotel was very loud and very lairy. I would not reccommend this hotel for relaxation but if you are going for a hen/stag week then this would be perfect.

disappointed
02 April 2008
having paid £350 each for all inclusive we expected a better type of hotel/holiday.
Having to listen till early hours of the morning to drunken youths shouting through loud hailers to people kicking doors and shouting until at least 4.30 am. The food was catered more for people from other countries, we found ourselves eating out. The plus side was the staff were friendly and the drinks offered was a plus. I thought from day one we had landed in a youth club and not a hotel we had paid a lot of money to stay in. I would recommend noone under 25 stay and that the hotel change the blurb from family friendly to youth friendly.

What a bargain!
28 March 2008
We are 2 friends, 26 & 27. We booked a cheap 4 day break and stayed at this hotel. Everything was fine! There are mixed reviews on the hotel, but I think you just need to know your own standards and remember you always get what you pay for!
We paid £120 each including flights for this All Inc holiday - all I can say is "what a baragin!" I would sum up the hotel, as one that has obviously been a lovely hotel years ago, and now is just a bit tired and in need of a re-vamp. The hotel is clean with rooms cleaned everyday etc. It is central and a hop, skip & a jump away from the beach, clubs etc. The food was lovely - remarkable speaking as a very fussy eater!!!! There was always a choice of 1 veggie dish, 1 fish dish, 2 meat dishes, pastas, salads, soup and not to forget - the good old chips!
I would advise people to use the hotel if you are going for a short, cheap break, as long as you do not want matching bedspreads and curtains! Have Fun!

absolutly loved it!!!!!
25 March 2008
me and my two female friends went to this hotel on the 16/03/08 for a week, we have just come back and i am already looking to book again next year. the rooms are basic, but it was somewhere to sleep and shower thats was all we used it for. the food is not the healthiest, but you can survive, you can always find something to eat, so those that have complained, i don't know what they were expecting for the money they have paid. staff are very friendly, we went all inclusive, this paid because we got tipped up in the hotel bar until midnight and then stayed out dancing in the many clubs until 6 in the morning. all the clubs and shops are a stones throw away from the hotel its self, you don't need a taxi anywhere.
we had a great time in the Londoner, a hip hop club, and meeting point, a quieter bar is a great place to well meet up before you go to the clubs.
Don't stay in this hotel if you have kids as there isn't a lot to do here unless you want to get drunk, and don't come here if you are not prepared to put up with us young people not realizing our own noise levels at silly times in the morning. for my age group (23) i well recommend it.
see you next year LLorett DE Mar, cant waitXXX

19 March 2008
If you are expecting the Ritz then this hotel is not for you. Rooms are very basic but for £10 per person half board we found it to be extremley great value for money, no kettle in the room but they do have english tv which is very unusal in spanish hotels. It is also in a very good location ( opposite the bus station ). It can get a little noisy after the clubs come out but nothing major.

Short trip
08 March 2008
We were a party of 14 and had booked 7 rooms, on arrival there was a problem with the booking and had to wait 30 minutes before 4 of our party could get a room once in the room it had not been cleaned and had to wait another 30 minutes for another room so not a good start to the holiday. Unfortunately one of our party was in an accident in Barcelona and the member of staff who was on shift at reception refused to pass a message on to the other guests resulting in the injured person having to travel in a taxi from Barcelona. The majority of staff were ok and the food and facilities was ample for the price. The only worry I have is that the lifts are always out of order and in the winter the hotel is freezing.

this is a budget hotel, rooms are poor food ok staff fine if you dont mind the usual noisy antics of half a dozen lager louts in the corridors then you will be ok but my advice is to try its sister hotels the royal beach or star as this hotel although very clean needs a good raking out. abit harsh some may think but its true im afraid.

Great time
26 February 2008
I have just returned from my hen weekend here and having read reviews have to say that this place was absolutely brilliant for us young ones. The older people in my group didn't love it as much but they we're used to better quality accomadation. For the price we paid for all inclusive it was well worth it! The room need a refurb but the sheets were clean, as was the bathroom and the towels were changed everyday. The food is not great but we coped with a chip cob!! The drinks side is fabulous and the staff here made our weekend, if only to escort us back to our room for being noisy(it was 6 in the morning). And the bar staff were especially brilliant. Possibly wouldn't go back to Lloret but it was out of season so apart from Moby's most pubs, clubs were shut but if I did return I would use this hotel again!!! Great place, don't listen to all reviews it's not as bad as they make out.

very entertaining at night
28 December 2007
visited hotel end of November/beginning of Dezember. Location is very central, only one minute by feet to the central bus station - ideal to start field trips. The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean but TV broken. The food was ok but every day fried eggs will kill me. Tip: try it at intervals with scrambled eggs. The noise at night was not pleasing. Use your earplugs or keep drunken.

we had a fab time!!
15 November 2007
we read the reviews for this hotel before booking, and honestly were expecting it to be a bit of a dive. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel was spotlessly clean, food was lovely with plenty of choice all day and night. The rooms had everything you need, and were cleaned daily. The choice of drinks in the bar were vast. The hotel is ideally situated for bars, restaurants, clubs beach etc. We will definately go back to this hotel next time we visit lloret de mar.

Review of 'Top Gran Casino Royal'
28 October 2007
we read all the reviews before going to the Casino Royal, (we were allocated it on arrival) so we went with our eyes wide open. Yes the rooms are shabby, cracked ceilings tired looking wood chip wallpaper and mostly broken furniture. But it was cleaned daily, the beds were made and the towels changed. All the the staff were helpful, polite and clearly visible. The food was somewhat samey but there was plenty of it and it was edible. There was plenty to drink at all times of the day too.
The hotel is situated next to the bus station, but this can also be a plus as it makes visiting other places a breeze, and there is plenty to do in the Lloret area.
In conclusion, if your looking for a cheap all inclusive deal and aren't expecting the ritz then go for it, if however you expect the hotel to be up to a high standard in decor and the food to be Cordon Bleu then forget it, although you can use one of the Top Hotel chain's four star hotels to eat in if you wish, like the Royal Star(at no extra cost)if you go all inclusive.

pack your earplugs!
08 October 2007
We would never dream of taking our kids to this hotel. The noise during the night is unbelievable! The pool area is really dirty, with most of the sun loungers broken and the ones that aren't are in need of a good scrub, along with the rest of the hotel. The staff are ok and the rooms are basic and the location is quite good apart from the constant noise of the bus station across the road. Apart from all that and the fact that we only paid £60 each for all inclusive for 3 nights we still managed to have a good time. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for and this hotel does what it says on the tin.

we read all the dodgy reviews before we booked this holiday and thought well what do you expect for the money we paid. the hotel was clean, the staff were helpfull, the entertainment on the evenings was good too. what do you moaners want for gods sake its mega cheap to stay there and the location is great for shops, pubs, clubs, beach and waterpark, not to mention that if like us we went all inclusive you can drink and eat as much as you want till midnight. I do agree this is not good for families but if you want to have a good cheap break its great, in fact we only just got back last week and we've booked to go back in march all inclusive for less than £100 including flights where in this country can you do that? to everyone who said the bad things about the rooms and decoration of the hotel GET A LIFE come on when you go on holiday do you stay in your rooms 24/7. great cheap break

Myself and 16 mates have just got back from Casino Royale and we all had a fantastic time. It was a stag do and the pleace suited us perfectly. Granted it isn't really for families so if you have young children I wouldnt recommend it but for a young couple or group of friends wanting a laugh in a perfect location this is the place to go. The all inclusive side was spot on, we had drinks on tap from 10am through to midnight and we took full advantage ! The food was ok nothing spectacular but there was always to something you could eat. All the hotel staff were superb all very friendly, especially Marc (Pedro) who was a laugh a minute. The maids came into clean the rooms every day with clean towels and bedding. It is two minutes walk into the town were the best bars were Rockafellas and The Texas bar. We had a great time and I would highly recommend for both Stag/Hen do's.

Brilliant Value Hotel!!
29 June 2007
Travelled with a group of 12 for my stag do June 2007. All-inclusive for approx £20 per person per night, superb value. If you're an older couple / young family with kids then probably best AVOIDING this Hotel. If you're a young couple/group of friends who want a brilliant value, well located, decent food & drink type of place, then you just can't go wrong. None of us could work out how this place actually makes any money because at those prices it's a virtual give-away. Everybody said it was the best value foreign trip they've ever been on. As long as you're open-minded, can put up with groups of young foreign kids shouting at each other over the balconies and a fair bit of rowdy noise then just get it booked. The staff were spot on (providing you treated them with a bit of respect). The food and drink were fine (no dodgy tums in our party at all). The pool area was tidy enough, the bar and restaurant was clean and tidy. I can't understand the people who review this hotel and slag it off. You get what you pay for at the end of the day. You can't pay next to nothing and expect to be in a 5-star gaff. Besides that, you wouldn't really go to LLoret if you wanted a quiet time seeing the "real spain". This is a noisy, fun resort. If you don't like that, then simply don't book a holiday in the area! Hope this helps.

Horrible hotel
10 June 2007
From the moment I walked in I had a bad feeling about this place. It was horrible.
Go there if you don't mind being woken up at 3.30 in the morning by a load of drunken idiots coming in and playing music and moving furniture around.
go there if you want a dirty room and to find condoms on your balcony.
We stayed with our young daughter and it was a nightmare and relocated to another hotel. Will never visit there again. Only good point was the food!

Very good value, not for families tho....
03 May 2007
Handy location, perfect for a short break, (4 nights late Apr/early May 07), downside being so near to the hotspots is it attracts large groups of mainly foreign youngsters. Bit of a cross between a youth hostel & 18-30s place. That said, and thin walls apart its a good value place, rooms smallish but nice views, clean etc. Food very good on the whole, I was All Inclusive, terrific value. Only narrow minded people with serious dietary issues would have difficulty finding a well balance plateful of tasty food. Fresh strawberries and avacados were just 2 pleasant surprises. Chips were very nice too! Plentiful glasses of the lager and wine meant the dawn hour noisy interruptions from night owls went largely unnoticed, but even so, not a place I'd recommend for a quiet family holiday. You pay your money, excellent all round value but do be prepared for the army of foreign youngsters and the odd rowdy Brit hen party etc.

FANCY A GAMBLE ?
03 May 2007
You always only get what you pay for.
This Hotel is basic and very tired and in desperate need of modernisation but I believe it will be knocked down before that happens. I really cant see this Hotel being around in 5 years time.
HOWEVER- the staff were extremely friendly and helpful providing you treat them with respect in fact you have to feel sorry for them with what they have to deal with - I am of course talking of the stereotypical northern, soccer loving, beer swilling, gut puking fog horn voiced, legless Brit abroad. If you fall into this category you will love it - if you dont then avoid this Hotel like the plague. If you manage to sleep through the all night parties that take place on almost every balcony and corridor in the building you will awake to see the staff washing down the pool area and every where else that may have been decorated the night before with the stomach contents and body fluids of the aforementioned breed of Brits.
Because the Hotel offers an all inclusive deal of non stop food and drink there is a constant stream of extremely obese individuals who are obviously in a race with time to consume enough food and drink during their stay so as to avoid the need to eat or drink on their return home for at least a week.
We purchased the Gold card to upgrade to 'Branded' drinks but found it hugely amusing that none of the staff had ever seen one before and on more than one occassion the Manager had to be called to confirm we were indeed 'VIP' guests.
We actually only managed one night at the Casino Royal before being asked to move to another Hotel, The Royal Star, due to being unable to tolerate the constant loutish behaviour of of our fellow Countrymen.
PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND BOOK ONE OF THE OTHER 4* HOTELS IN THE GROUP BUT BUYER BEWARE !

not as bad as some reviewer make out
07 November 2006
Some reviews make this Hotel sound like some horror Hotel and that is not at all fair ,I think this was one of the best value hotel I have ever stayed in and it is a good example of you get what you pay for . The hotel is a little dated infact it is a throw back to the 1970's but it is clean and has good facilities . The food for the money you pay is absolutely excellent the choice is outstanding .and although even when we were there some people were complaining which is ridiculous , nobody is going to like everything on offer but I challenged anybody not to find enough of something to make them happy . the hotel can bit a bit noisey but what do you expect if you want to be in the middle of a lively resort .After the first day it turned into just background noise once we got used to it . There have been reviews that said the staff were unhelpful ,we found this to be the totally opposite ,if you treated the staff with respect they couldn't do enough for you . The only complaint I had was that dinner time being between 1830-1930 was too early . I can honestly say that we will be staying here again for a extended weekend.

Review of 'TOP GRAN CASINO ROYAL'
28 November 2005
After reading the reviews I must say I was a little worried. Upon arriving at the hotel we were all pleasantly suprised. Reception staff very friendly and the hotel lobby was very clean. The rooms are quite basic but were clean. We went straight to the resturaunt for something to eat and again we were greeted with happy staff. The food was ok. There was a slection of salad, pasta, meat, vegatables, fish and kids food. I think they try their hardest to please everyone. The bar staff were pleasant and the entertainment was ok but it obviously depends on what you like. After a very drunken evening my friend decided to streak down our corridor. If anyone wishes to question the security, believe me all the CCTV cameras work as the next day it seems all the staff had watched her parading around. We were also visited by security and told to keep the noise down. Only grumble HARD LOO ROLL. Take your own.

We went to this hotel on the 20th June for 6 days all inclusive and only paid approx £20 a day. The hotel rooms are basic but cleaned daily. There where 6 girls ranging from 18 - 41 and everyone of us had a good time. The location is fantastic if you are looking for a lively holiday. We took advantage of the all inclusive drinks until midnight and then went into town till the early hours. This hotel would be well suited to people who don't want a relaxing holiday as it is very central and extremely noisy, we wanted a partying holiday and that is exactly what we got. I would not hesitate to go back to this hotel.

Review of 'CASINO ROYAL'
26 March 2005
Four of us all friends stayed all inclusive at the Casino Royal during November. The rooms were in need of refurbishment but none the less were clean and comfortable, which is always the most important thing. We found the staff helpfull and friendly despite having to put up with us Brits trying to empty the free bar. The meals were not the greatest, catering more for the meds, however we always found something worth eating and for the price we paid, found it to be excellent value. If you intend going, make sure you go to the medevial night which is available to all inclusive customers. A great night out for 10 euros which includes food, drink (wine & soft drinks) and a great medevial show.
