We wanted a stop over in Paris whilst returning from a holiday in Andernos near Bordeaux. Booked on the internet, we found the location excellent, although directions were difficult with so many one way streets. However we found carpark 'Sacre Cure' on Avenue De Plichey, which was oudstandingly easy and safe. We then walked to the hotel which we easily found very close to the Sacre Cure, and found the stay most enjoyable. Only one night, however the breakfast was very good and the stay was very satisfactory. all in all, value for money. will definitely use it again.

My daughter - a thirty something art teacher  - and I travelled for a 5 day break in Paris. Position of the hotel - as long as you are still fit and able as there is a quite steep incline from the Metro (Abbesses) and then some steps - is superb. It sits on a little square with trees, good restaurants around and a patisserie Boulangerie on the corner.
The staff were all really pleasant and very helpful at all times, even to the point of having to close the hotel reception while they sorted out our room key which decided not to work one day.
Breakfast was good but a bit of a squeeze as everyone wanted to get up late whilst on holiday. The shower was even more of a squeeze you have to be a cross between a limbo dancer and a contortionist to get in and out and dry but it worked OK , always hot, clean towels everyday (I hate that really, such a waste of resources but good customer service none the less.
The hotel was just around the corner to the Place du Tertre, great day or night with artists selling their work and portrait painters  and drawers plying their trade. Watch their prices though and barter down - E20-30 is fair.See the Eiffel tower's light show at night time. The Sacre Coure is almost on the Hotel doorstep, don't miss the walk around the dome, a full panorama of Paris - WOW!
For a 2 Star Hotel it far exceeded expectations and I will go there again definitely.

Excellent location but not for the less mobile!
The 'Abbesses' Metro station (the deepest in Paris) gives you the perfect way to get around.
The hotel is clean and basically furnished.Opt for a room overlooking the square as the rooms on the Rue Garreau can be noisy at night(traffic,passers-by etc)
The reception staff are very helpful and efficient -they will book shows etc for you.
The breakfast is very acceptable-fresh juices, hot drinks,a variety of bread (including croissants),jams, hard boiled eggs and yoghurts.
For the incurable romantic, on a budget, this is one of the best places to be.
