Hotel clean
staff helpfull and pleasant
situation very good and close to city centre and old town
not far from bus stop to airport ( no 22a )
Breakfast and dining room clean and good.
Only issue is that map provided shows hotel to be south of river
It is north of the river and Old Town.
Riga itself is a jewel of a place, surpassing all expectations.

Review of TIA

The room was very clean and well-presented, with TV and minibar (but no coffee/tea making facility). Breakfast was basic but adequate.
It's a brisk 15-20 minute walk into the centre of town from the TIA. There is a Chinese restaurant on the corner of the block by the hotel if you need to grab a quickish meal. I booked a taxi to return to the airport through the hotel reception and was charged three times the amount I had been charged on the inward journey (for a similar journey time); you might want to avoid this rip-off!

A well located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel was very clean, generally very quiet and the breakfast was excellent. It was extremely good value for money. My only minor complaint is that the rooms were a little too warm at times!!

Really nice hotel!! Great location just a short walk to downtown, and shops, bars and eating places...we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel and were not disappointed.Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. would have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Tia to anyone, and if we are to return to Riga (Which is really nice by the way!) then we will be staying here!

The Hotel Tia is about 15 minutes walk from the Freedom Monument in Riga's Old Town, but you can take the tram into town (No 3) for about 20lvs (20p).Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. room was clean and warm with everything you needed - t.v, hairdryer etc. breakfast was served until 11am which meant you culd stay in bed a little longer than usual. would recommend this hotel if you are not looking for 5 star accommodation but a base for your holiday in Riga - we had a great time!!

The hotel was very clean and well presented. The rooms were also clean and tidy, offering a basic but good level of comfort.
The breakfast is not very good, but it's not far away from plenty of places to get breakfast.
For the money it was very good. The only negative was there was hotel renovations happening while we was there which did prevent some of us from sleeping late.
