pre-GCSE gettaway!
22 August 2008
stayed here for two nights mid august 2008. My 16 year old son and myself as a distraction for the looming GCSE results. We travelled by Eurostar and travelled to the Thon Hotel via the underground which cost 1.70E each. The Hotel was above the Rogier Metro station. The hotel entrance very grand with marble staircase and a beautiful chandelier. Check in was excellent with English speaking staff. We arrived at our room on the 18th floor and was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom was equipped with toiletries and lovely fluffy towels!!! The beds were made up with egyptian cotton linen and were so comfortable. The complimentary tea and coffee was very much appreciated. The t.v. had BBC1&2 which was handy to keep up with the medal scores in the olympics ! There was even an umbrella in our room to use during our stay! Absolutely fantastic! And the room was spotlessly clean! We stayed on a room only basis. Less than 5 mins up the road was a Greggs! so we took breakfast there. Opposite the hotel is a pizza hut and had our dinner there. Across the road is a large shopping mall with an excellent supermarket where we bought our waffles, chocolate and beer for taking home. Right opposite the hotel is the road which takes you to the Grand Place and the Mannekin Pis about a ten minute leisurely walk.We both had a great time and thought how ideally placed the Hotel was. will definetly stay there again.

Excellent Hotel
21 August 2008
Excellent Hotel, we stayed for two nights, great location, only 5 mins from nord train station, 15 min walk to the Grand Place. great shops, loads of places to eat. This hotel was in the perfect location. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Friendly & helpful staff.
I Would definitely use this Hotel again, and definitely book through alpharooms, best rates for rooms on the net.
Thanks

Excellent
21 November 2007
Stayed at Thon end of October 2007. The beautiful lobby makes a great first impression. The place is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. All amenities in rooms including toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and even an iron and ironing board. We were on the 19th floor, and had lovely views. Very convenient for all attractions. Didn't have breakfast as it seemed rather dear, so instead went to the 'City 2' shopping centre across the road, which has a food court offering lots of different, well priced fare.
All in all, very impressed by this reasonably-priced hotel. Plan to return again very soon.

this hotel was in the perfect location. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We were right in the middle of everything in the city. Breakfast buffet was also wonderful with a wide variety to suit just about anyone.

Review of 'THON BRUSSELS CITY CENTRE'
09 April 2007
Very good Hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Decent breakfast and very comfortable & clean rooms. Good location in area which is busy during the day but reasonably quiet at night. Very close to Metro Rogier but really within easy walkig distance to Major shops ( very large mall just across the road ) and 10 -15 mins walk to Grand Place etc. V Good restaurant ( Brussels Grill ) next door and good Pizza Hut across the road. A word of caution to Families with young children... browsing through the TV Channels in the hotel room you will very easily pick up 2 or 3 channels with graphic hard core pornography (although they become pay channels after about 15 secs.)so extreme caution is advised ! Would definitely use this Hotel again.

Review of 'TULIP INN BOULEVARD BRUSSELS'

Lovely hotel. The place was spotless and the staff were friendly. It was in the middle of everything - the shopping centres were just across the road and the Grand Place was only a ten minute walk away. I'd definitely recommend it.
