Holiday trip with teenage daughter and older son and partner
14 February 2008
New York New York so good they named it twice - fantastic trip. Thirty Thirty Hotel so reasonable they named it twice - the basic rooms are small but clean, very central, not over priced, a good base for a hectic few days.

Tremendous!!!
11 August 2007
Like you I'd read reviews of this hotel and thought it sounded OK but when we got there we found it was better than OK... it was tremendous! We stayed on the 7th floor in a huge room with a double bed, wardrobe, a random chair made of rubber, a T.V and a mini kitchen with a fridge and oven! Though there wasn't any pans to cook with. There was even an ironing board and iron! No trouser press though - such a shame. (I've never actually used one but they belong in every hotel room.)
Bathroom was a fair size with a shower and no bath tub which I thought was great, but you might not if you prefer the bath. Also had a good hair dryer.
The rooms were cleaned daily (unless you left the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door) and any used towels were replaced.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only thing that bothered me was through no fault of the hotel... there was builders working next to our room. Bit noisy on a morning but you want to be up early anyway.
Location was so good me boyfriend insisted on walking EVERYWHERE! Advice for the lazy folk like me, take the subway every now and then, it's just a couple of streets away, really quick and cheap.
Plenty of hot dog vendors close by, beware though, they're addictive.
Well we loved this hotel, it had everything we needed and more. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Enjoy.

Nice Price
05 August 2007
The room was small & clean and since not a lot of time was spent there was not a concern. No room for my hair & makeup stuff so I put the iron board up in the bathroom and made more space. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was accommodating to my needs and requests. The location is close to Macy's & Empire State Building and subway off of 5th Ave. Great little restaurant off the lobby. Great Mojitos! If you're not that picky about hotels and want a good bargain ---- this is your place for a good nights rest and a hot shower. Also daily newspaper delivered.

Review of Thirty Thirty
13 May 2007
My wife and I + her brother and sister and their husband and wife all stayed in this hotel on St Patricks weekend March 2007 and found it to be every clean and tidy, rooms were clean modern and warm as it snowed and was very cold. The hotel is very central, the Empire State building just a few minutes walk away.also good access to subway, the staff were friendly and meals can be had in the restaurant on ground floor, a good place to start as breakfasts were very good , overall a good place to stay.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel in October 2006. We had a great time. The rooms were clean and modern in decor. Some of the carpets could do with being replaced, but when you are in New York and paying these very reasonable prices who really cares about carpets. There was a small walk to 5th Avenue, but overall good access to the Subway and lots of little shops for snacks. The hotel staff were very friendly, particularly in the lovely little bar downstairs, which was great. Overall excellent value for money.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Thirty Thirty, the room was clean and comfortable but it wasn't what I expected looking on the hotel web page. The hotel was basic but practible for visiting the city.

Excellent location between Madison and Park Ave in lower mid town. Walking distance to everything you need to see and great transport links for those who don't fancy a walk. Thirty Thirty is basic yet functional. Everything you need is there and is clean and fresh. Staff very helpful.

Review of 'THIRTY THIRTY'
22 November 2005
The hotel was in a really good location - just round the corner from Empire State building and not too far away from shops (Macy's was a few blocks away!). Although the hotel room was quite basic and didn't include a hairdryer or travel iron, it was very clean, presentable and comfortable with a large TV, radio alarm clock and electronic safe. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful - the porter even arranged my airport transportation from the hotel to JFK for me. Guide books and information leaflets were available free of charge and there was a small shop were phone cards and souvenirs could be purchased.
I would definitely stay in this hotel again if possible when I next go back to New York (which I definitely will be doing!)

The hotel 30 30 was excellent. The staff were fantastic and helpfull when it came to offering us advice on were to go, how to get there. Some of the rooms were on the smaller side, but then again so are a most hotels located aroun Manhattan. The location was probably the best thing about the stay. Around the corner from Madison Av, it is pretty central to all the popular spots. The subway was a five minute walk and of a night time the area is buzzing, 24 hour diners, a few Irish pubs (five minutes up East 30th) and lots of quirky shops. Its worth noting that the service and cleanliness was second to none, great service and standard. The hotel lobby is spacious and I imagine would make it comfortable for the disabled. I hope to return in the new year.

Room needed refurbishment, small beds but clean sheets and towels provided daily. Staff friendly and hotel very handy for site seeing. Yes I would stop again but still think it is over priced.

Hotel 30 30 New York
Firstly I would like to compliment alpharooms.com on their great service, we tried lots of sites, travel agents, etc and found alpharooms the best, they replied immediately with any questions we had, no problems with bookings and were very competitive with prices.
Now our stay at 30 30, well as other reviews have said the rooms are small but so are all hotel rooms in New York apparently (this was our first visit). The 30 30 is in a great location, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, towels changed every day, air conditioning, we had a twin room and the beds were small but comfortable. The location for getting about is ideal, very close to Empire State building, Macy's etc. Would definitely return to New York, and would stay at 30 30 hotel again.

Very good location of hotel, about a 5 minute walk to Empire State Building. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Room ok for amount of time spent in it. Comapct not the biggest but not the smallest. Could maybe benefit from a little refurbishment in the room, as the lobby looks like it has already had. Would use the hotel again as good value for money.

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights in April this year. Fantastic hotel - no problems at all. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable - the staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. There are loads of delis, coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Would we recommend this hotel? Certainly! Would we stay there again? Absolutely!

Review of 'THIRTY THIRTY'
22 June 2005
I always thought America was the place where everything was big. This was not the case with my room at the Thirty Thirty Hotel. Although small, it was clean and had the essentials, and the bathroom was fairly fashionable. Other downsides were that the windows are paper thin, and the rain had a knack of landing on the air-conditioning unit and making quite a racket.
On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well situated within easy reach of the empire state building, macys and times square.
After reading its reviews I did expect more from this hotel, especially as I thought it to be quite expensive for what I got. I didn't see any, but I understand they have larger deluxe rooms, which may be worth a try if you want a larger room.
