05/08/2008 Nice place, shame about the noise.

As already said by other users, the hotel is clean and the room we had was very spacious. There were 5 beds for us two to chose from!! The room was nicely decorated and had adequate storage. The beds were very comfortable and appeared to be quite new.The hotel was very close to Paddington station which although was very handy it was also that which caused us some problem. The room was hot as there is no air con. so we had to have the window open, which allowed the regular loud noise of the trains and underground to keep us awake! If you can sleep through noise then I would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was good and Hyde Park only a short walk away. I would use the hotel again but would take an electric fan so I could keep cool with the window shut, to keep the noise out!

Good Budget Hotel

09 July 2008
We arrived Friday 4th July - checked in no problem - room was small but " perfectly formed" - having being recently renovated - the hotel looked like it was in the process of a complete renovation but it didn't spoil anything - room was furnished with a double bed ( with 2 drawers in) two bedside 2 drawer units and an adequate hanging space with shelves- laminated floors and an original fireplace and and cornicing to ceiling - breakfast room was in the basement of one of the 4 houses which the hotel was made up of and was adequate for the price we paid - the outside doors were locked and accessed by ringing reception at night and it was a stones throw away from Paddington Rail Station - were you could easily get around London from Would definately stay again if the prices were held - but because of the renovations i would guess they are trying to gain an inproved tourist board rating which will mean an increase in prices - no doubt
