BEST HOLIDAY EVER

14 August 2008
Was nervous about the hills, cliffs and how we would manage with an 8 month old and a buggy. It was no problem at all at these apartments. It was the first holiday that we had that we were quite happy to spend the whole day by the pool and relax. The rooms and hotel was well looked after. The sitting room could of been a little bit bigger for 4 people. Staff were all very friendly. Hotel and resort suitable for both young kids and teenagers and even older kids! Would definately go here again.

Great holiday

Second visit to the TM and they did not let us down. Stayed in the Suites this time rather than the Sunsuites and preferred these. The ceiling fans made the nights just a bit more bearable due to the heat. Would defo go back to these apartments - love them.

Great apartments

27 July 2008
Just got back from 2 weeks at the Terrazamar Sunsuites. Although a lot of towels are placed on the sunbeds there were still spare beds but the good thing is that you are always guaranteed 2 beds on your large balcony area. Rooms nice and clean, reception helpful would recommend to all

just back from 2 weeks hols in the terrazamar sun suites. this was our 6th time in puerto rico & it gets better every year. we have tried a few apartments and found ones we loved but we left it to late this year and they were fully booked, which was lucky really as this is how we found the terrazamar. i can honestly say we wont be staying anywhere else from now on. there is entertainment day & night by the pool which is unusual for puerto rico as very few apartments provide entertainment. the rooms themselves are really nice and kept spotlessly clean the balcony is HUGE which is great for the children to play on or for the sun worshipers to top up there tan. both pools are great and are cleaned every morning theres even a jacuzzi to relax in. the terrazamar are located within 5mins walk from the europa centre this is were all the shops bars & resturants are. they cater for the livelier or the more relaxed holiday maker. i could go on forever about how nice the terazamar is but the only to find out is to stay there yourself.

Nicely surprised by the apartment, large, well equipped and as I saw in previous reviews with a very large balcony with two sun loungers. In a good location with taxis available on call from reception. Very clean and well kep, the only small quibble would be the staff, they were not unfriendly but not exactly over helpful at reception. Would definitely stay there again.

Great time

04 June 2008
Stayed there for 10 days from 24 May 2008. Had stayed there before in the Royal Subsuites and hoped to be in that block again. However was allocated the middle block and while not as modern as the Royal still had no complaints. Balcony much bigger than the Royal. Used the pool in the Royal as much quieter than the other pools. Meal in Sullivans Bar was excellent. In our opinion the best apartments in PR.

Great hotel

24 April 2008
As other people have mentioned....huge balconies. The location is about 1km to the beach and a car would be recommended to get to different resorts. Rooms were comfortable and well equipped. there were some stains on the lounge furniture etc but this did not bother us. We did not go to Puerto rico beach....Amadores beach around the corner is far nicer with ample free parking. It is also a nice walk from Peurto Rco to Amadores via a very safe cliff top path.

Home this week following a weeks stay at the Terrazamar. We had a great time; lovely, large apartment with the best balcony/terrace we have ever seen. The apartment was kept clean and serviced almost every day. The pool area was lovely and again kept very clean. There were always available sunbeds and we ate good food from the snack bar where the staff were superb. If you fancy a really first class meal try the Don Quixote restaurant down by the port. It's a nice walk down from the Terrazamar and the food and service were unbelievable. It's always busy (with locals) so that says it all. Overall, we had a smashing holiday and would definately book again.

TERREZAMAR SUITE REVIEW

26 August 2007
Just back from two weeks at the Suites and I couldn't be happier, but in a positive sense. This accommodation offers top value for money. PLUSES: 1. Clean, modern accommodation. 2. Spacious balconies and no steps to climb. It is also surprisingly quiet. There seem to be lots of activities up at the Pool area, so young families are well catered for.

Grounds are immaculate and very clean.  Apartments well equipped and comfortable, reception staff very helpful.  The cleaning of the apartments could have been a bit more thorough, and lack of towels were as issue, altho whenever we requested them from reception we got.  Think that the toilet/shower area could be better kept, getting a bit tatty.

Would go back tho, excellent value for money

Review of 'Terrazamar SunSuite Royal'

12 October 2006
We arrived at hotel about 2.30 am 24/09/06 and when we entered our room we just both said WOW! There was just everything you needed, very spacious, exceptionally clean and the terrace well you could have a party out there it was so big and very private. The rooms were cleaned every day and the towels changed every day. There were bath robes for both of us to use which was a nice touch and all the kitchen appliances such as kettle, toaster, juicer were all included even the television was which had  film channels on it! The pools were cleaned every day and were absolutely spotless. We did not stay in for the entertainment as we liked to go out in the evenings so we cannot comment on that. We were just so impressed we could not fault it. If you fancy a fishing trip go and see Michelle on the Sailfish unfortunately she is the last one at the harbour but she is by far the best as we tried the others as well. We hired a car which we picked up from the airport which was a VW Fox which was brilliant €230.00 for 2 weeks! We visited some lovely places and were glad we hired it on the internet before we went from Autoreisen. We hired a Harley Davidson one day and went round the whole perimeter of the island keeping off the motorways and the scenery up through the mountains was absolutely fantastic. We are definitely going back next year and staying at the Sunsuite Royals again and I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays we've had. No complaints at all about anything. All in all FABULOUS!!!!

Pleasantly surprised at the standard of this accommodation for the price! Good sized apartments with separate kitchen, large shower (no bath - we have a 2 year old & she doesn't like showers so sometimes it was stuff the plug hole and bathe her in the shower tray!). The balcony is huge but only downfall as some of the reviews state, they are not very private, however just as we were leaving they were updating the balconies with screens to allow more privacy!! The views are not very good at the moment as the balconies look straight over a building site (half finished but was not being worked on whilst we were there so no noise from it). The apartments are clean and if you are up and out early enough the maids clean the rooms almost daily. The swimming pool area is really good and the kids pool is excellent, there is also a little play area for the kids. Pool bar was great and the English staff were really friendly. The Terrazamar apts are probably the furthest away from the beach, but we hired a car (only £140 for 2 weeks), there is free parking around the harbour. Also Amadores beach car park was free. Terrazamar are definately quality apartments for the price (nowhere near as nice as the Marina Suites where we stayed last year - but they are more than twice the price of these ones!).

This is the second time we have stayed at Terrazamar Suite and probably the best value for money of any accommodation in Puerto Rico, once again we were not disappointed. Apartment consists of large lounge / bedroom with real twin beds (none of your camp beds)separate kitchen and an enormous balcony with table 4 chairs and 2 sun loungers as standard. The bar and pool area is spacious with ample loungers. There are some theme food nights to cater for all nationalities, with Sullivans Bar having happy hours to pacify the older generation. There are fans in the lounge and bedroom which are a godsend when the temperature hits 40deg C.

Terrazamar Suite, Puerto Rico

10 August 2006
9 of us went on holiday to Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria and we stayed at the Terrazamar Sun Suite, it was fantastic, relaxing by the pool during the day and then at night getting thrown in by friends and then all of a sudden an employee of the hotel comes tells us that were not allowed to get in the pool but we still jumped in everynight, was fantastic, the view from the balcony is amazing, just waking up in the morining, with the sun shining in.:) The rooms are suitable for all ages, we met quite a few locals when we went to the market/shopping center, they were very friendly but best of all meeting Rich who worked at a niteclub 'Jokers', we went to the club a few times, the dance floor small but cosy, the music they played was R'n'B, Hip Hop, Old Skool. Terrazamar is equal to a 4star hotel, thats how good it is. Will be going back next year. If anyone needs pictures, Email me. k4ly@hotmail.com

Review of 'Terrazamar Suite'

08 August 2006
We are a family group consisting of Ma & Pa, our 3 grown up kids, plus a couple of partners, making a total of 7 people, all staying at the Terrazamar Suite during the first week in August. The arpartments were absolutely fine, no problems at all with any of the facilities, I can recommend these apartments to anyone. The only slight problems were the lack of air conditioning, cos it gets bloody hot in August, and the usual problem of selfish rotters 'booking' the sunbeds with their towels then failing to use them all day.
The poolside bar, Sullivans, do a good breakfast in the mornings, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have meals in the evenings which are pretty good so if you don't fancy wandering over to the Commercial Centre then you can have a beer and a decent scoff on the premises.
The Terrazamar is in a great location, just take the lift to the ground floor, out of the back gate, turn right down the path and you're in the Commercial Centre within 5 minutes. There's loads of places to eat and drink, so when you're out and about the resturant 'greeters' will be on you like a flash. Just be nice and they'll be nice right back....they're only doing their job.
We spent most evenings in La Fiesta bar, they kick off about 10pm with a cash bingo (full house worth about 300 euros, so it's worth winning), then a quiz (good fun), then some drinking games, kiddie disco dances, and such to take us up to the caberet at midnight. (Really liked Andy Bush, and the guy who did the Back to Rock show (Chris Mooney?). Only slight hassle here was the Spanish barman, Antonio, who's not too good at giving the right change. The rest of the La Fiesta team was great, especially the DJ, Billy Boy......they all work very hard to give a good time.
So if you're going to Peurto Rico you won't find better accomadation than the Terrazamar...we'll be going back some time ourselves.

We have stayed at your hotel three times; december-03, april-05 and december-05. We have been to Puerto Rico 6 times since we got our children and we are very satisfied with the hotell og the people working there. The last time we visited Puerto Rico w also brought the grandparents and aunt.
The only thing we at dissapointed with at the bread at breakfast, wich we have complaind about every time we hav been here. And then the very, very cold childrens pool. In desember 05 was not even the big pool warm, a very dissapointing experience.
But all in all : We are coming back to you !

couldnt have asked for better apartment: clean, spacious- good size kitchen, bathroom, lounge, bedroom and balcony- good on site facilities, shop, bar, pool, and facilities for people with late flights- showers, luggage storing etc.

location good as close to main commercial complex close to shops restaurants etc. though no noise disturbance thankfully. 15min walk from purto rico beach and harbour, 30min walk from amadores beach- but well worth it!!- quieter restaurants bars etc near beach area and at smaller europa centre- top of hill- taxi 2-3 euros.

central location means views are limited- dont overlook sea or anything- feels very surrounded by other apartments- but thats purto rico really!

very nice place once you see past the big commercial centres!

The apartments are lovely, we have stayed before, very clean and it was nice to have the ceiling fans, the Tv hire was handy for the kids in the morning or just before bed.

The maid service was excellent and also being a family, the small laundry room a great help.

Being near the back of the resort is fab as you are not too near the hustle and bustle and noise though near to the shops, bars and restarants that you don't have exhaustion when you get there.

We will be staying there again next year, it is now under new Management, which was the only downfall, the actual people were great, the food excellent and really accomodating, just this time the entertainments Manager was too fond of the bar than entertaining the guests, especially the kids, hence she is now out of a job, the replacement over the last two days was a vast improovement and I hope Tracey and Mel do well as they are lovely and coulnt do enough for us.

We recommend this place to anyone and have friends going there soon, for families or couples it is just right, nice to find somewhere clean and comfortable like this.

Review of 'TERRAZAMAR SUITE'

26 June 2006
June 06.  This was our second time staying at Terrazamar Suites and once again we had a very good holiday and would recommend them.  The position of the suites is excellent with lifts ensuring that no stairs were needed (unlike most hotels in PR).  Also an easy stroll from Commercial Centre but far enough away to avoid late night noise.  Apartments are very large (particularly balcony) with double shower and separate kitchen.  Food was good, pool was good but entertainment left a lot to be desired, however nearby commercial centre has plenty to entertain.
GRIPES:-
For 2nd year running, even though we could tell the hotel was nowhere near full, when we asked to pay to keep our room an extra day (late flights), we were told the apartments were full - very unfriendly in this respect.
Many of the sun loungers were broken/dangerous and should have been replaced.  Also there were never enough mattresses for the sun loungers by the pool as people kept taking them back to their apartments for the sun loungers on their balconies.
Entertainment very poor.

Had a great stay at Terrazamar from 22nd to 29th May 06. Staff helpful, facilities and equipment excellent. Accomodation spacious including the large terrace which was very safe for my 2 year old son. Close to shopping centre. Shop on site was useful for those essentials like water and milk. The only negative comment is that the shower equipment could have done with some maintenance as the rack and the handle on the wall were loose but that hasn't stopped me giving the Terrazamar a rating of 5 out of 5. I would like to stay there again.

Just returned from PR 3 days ago!! We found the Terrazamar absolutely lovely. They are very handy for all the restaurants and pubs and excellent supermarkets AND we didn't need to use a taxi to get up or down to the apartments like some people at the top of the valley!!We would definately go back but would ensure that we didn't have an apartment on level 1 as this can have you in full view of the main access road to this area.  The rep was very good and got us moved after only one day so this didn't spoil our stay at all.  There is no kids club and limited entertainmetn but this was exactly the kind of holiday we were looking for.  We used the balcony every day to sunbathe as it is HUGE and the 2 sun loungers had plenty of room! Wish we had eaten at Sullivans earlier than the last day as the portions are excellent value for money and the choice was very good.

The Terrazamar Suites are located nicely within Puerto Rico, fully equiped and clean, if a bit small.  My only quibble was, at times, having difficulty with eliciting helpfulness from the staff.  As a frequent traveler, I expect a certain amount of local knowledge and willingness to inform from the reception staff, and the Terazamar employees were sometimes cold and unclear upon the request of, for example, bus schedules, directions within town, etc.  Overall, however, it's nice if you just need a clean place to stay.

Yet another superb holiday at the Terrazamar, we have just come back after 2wks (15th-29th October).  We stayed at the Terrazamar last year, and was so pleased we booked again this year.  It has everything we wanted, very clean, a few minutes walk to the town centre, clean pool and sunbeds, and the staff very friendly.  Weather was fantastic, and the poolside bar and staff were great.  Would not think about booking into another apartment apart from this one. ROOMS ARE A GOOD SIZE FOR THREE PEOPLE. FANS ARE A LITTLE NOISY IF YOU NEED TO KEEP THEM ON ALL THE TIME.
JUST FIVE MINS WALK TO THE SHOPPING CENTRE AND MAIN BARS OF PUERTO RICO AND ABOUT 15 MINS FROM BEACH.
BE CAREFUL LATE AT NIGHT WALKING THE BACK OF THE CENTRE BACK TO THE APARTMENTS AS NO LIGHTING.
ENTERTAINMENT IS VERY LIMITED TO BINGO AND QUIZZES.
EXCELLENT FOR KIDS AS THERE IS A SMALL CHILDRENS POOL AS WEL AS A LARGE POOL, PLENTY OF SUNBEDS AROUND THE POOL.

Terrazamar Suite is very well furnished and very new with friendly and helpful staff. We found it very quiet and were not disturbed by noise at night or in the morning. The accommodation comprised a bedroom, lounge/diner, bathroom and kitchen. There was plenty of hot water via an immersion heater. Outside there was a spacious patio area with sunloungers, chairs, table and parasol. The main pool could have been a touch bigger and is single depth of 1.2m. There is also a baby pool and plenty of sun-loungers. The pool snack bar had a good menu, was reasonably priced and offered food of a good standard. The hotel reception had internet access and a small shop which was reasonably priced. Some building work going on nearby but this was not a bother. Located very near the commercial centre within a few minutes of bars, restaurants and shops. Best local authentic Canarian restaurants are Balcon Canario (oven-roast lamb is highly recommended and needs to be booked the day before)and Meson Canario (tapas recommended). This was our third trip to Puerto Rico. The resort offers a safe beach and plenty for the kids to do including crazy golf, water park, sailing, fishing amusements and lots of shops. The boat trip to Mogan is recommended. We would happily stay at Terrazamar Suite next time we come.

Review of 'TERRAZAMAR SUITE'

25 October 2005
Stayed at the Terrazmar Suite from 17th to 24th October 05 and had a lovely time. As it was low season the whole resort of Peurto Rico was quiet, and the apartments were much less than half full. The Terrazamar was clean and well run, the apartments were a good size and well maintained, everything worked...an excellent choice for a self catering holiday. Good breakfast at the poolside bar, reasonable choice in the evenings at Sullivans Bar if you decide to stay in for the evening meal. Almost non-existant organised entertainment, which to be fair would be very difficult as so few people were staying. The bar staff were very friendly, expecially the blonde girl with the striking eyes.

On the down side, the Terrazamar is very hard to find if you don't know where you're going. We hired a car at the airport and drove to Peurto Rico, then spent an hour driving about looking for it. (why didn't we ask a taxi driver? Dohhh!!!). Anyway, on leaving the motorway take the only road into Peurto Rico, past the Shell garage on the left, the Water Park on the right, come to a roundabout, turn right up the hill and follow the road round about 400 metres. The Terrazamar Sun Suites is up the hill (blue brollies), the Terrazamar Suites is on the left below (yellow brollies).
The Eurocentre is a 5 minute walk down the hill (use the back gate), we mainly went to La Fiesta Bar.....nothing really starts before 10 pm, so go out about 8:30, have your evening meal, then pop into La Fiesta for bingo, a quiz, some drinking games and a show. (if the Untouchables are in, you won't win the Quiz!)
The Terrazamar is an excellent base for a Peurto Rico holiday. My wife and I both liked it and we'll be going back sometime.

Review of 'TERRAZAMAR SUITE'

21 October 2005
Well what can I say - the Terrazamar Suite is the best accommodation we have stayed in, in all the years we have been traveling abroad. The apartments where modern with toaster and microwave, good clean utensils and even non-stick frying pans for the early morning bacon. two very comfy beds with clean sheets and covers which where changed twice a week.
Each apartment is fitted with 2 ceiling fans, 2 double glazed doors to the patio, which was about 15ft x 20ft with 2 sunbeds a patio set with 3 wicker chairs and a very jazzy umbrella.
The swimming pool area was very clean with ample sunbeds with matresses which is an added bonus for all you sun worshippers.
The pool itself was only 1.2 mtrs deep and was very clean and well looked after.
Food and drink at the poolbar was well worth the money, there was a great selection and all very well presented. 3.5 euro for 2 pints of Carling extra cold.mind you walk 100mtrs to the resort centre many bars were only 1 euro a pint(yes about 75p).
The apartments were on six floors with a central lift - the 6th floor being reception and the first floor at the bottom leads to a gate which left you about 100 mtrs to the shopping centre.
Regarding the building work that is in front of the apartments I can say that we did not experience much noise and to tell you the truth after a couple of days you forget its there.
We returned 21/10/05 and are already planning to return in March 06 with parents who have retired and have walking difficulties.
The situation of the apartments is ideal for the young and old.

Review of 'TERRAZAMAR SUITE'

19 September 2005
If you don't know Puerto Rico it helps to get around if you are related to a mountain goat. Having stayed in a number of apartment complex's over the years, climbed thousands of steps and negatiated most of the steep gradients, it makes a pleasant change to stay somewhere on the flat. Although Terrazamar is on several levels it is well serviced by 2 lifts. The main shopping & entertainment centre is literally a 5 minute walk away over a footbridge and up half a dozen steps. The accommodation itself is well equipped, light and spacious, (even has ceiling fans)and a large terrace with sunloungers. If you don't fancy a stroll to the centre, Terrazamar has excellent entertainment and good food available at reasonable prices. The swimming pool is quite large with plenty of sunloungers available. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying again.

I found the Terrazamar Suite to be of the highest standard.  The apartments were equal to a four star hotel. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and very accommodating and friendly.

Review of 'TERRAZAMAR SUITE'

we have just arrived home from staying at the terrazamar. we had read a lot about the apartments on the net.and they lived up to their name. the apartments were excellent. as well as the resort, we would recommend these apartments to any one. we will also be booking again ourselves. the balconies were great. debbie and cliff were great. the water park outside the apartments was very good - much better than the one in maspalomas as you spent most of your time queueing up for slides. the only disappointing thing was the evening entertainment - we had 2 entertainers in a fourtnight.as we had children with us we didn't want to go into the town late at nite for entertainment. the 2 that were on were very good.
