Perfect for 18-30
09 July 2008
The hotel is absolutely not for families. But we were a Group of 18 lads all 17-19 and we thought this hotel was perfect. It is a little shabby in places but overal the rooms get cleaned every day the rooms are big and the pool area is mint. You are literally 2 minute walk from ther strip, 3 mins from beach and 5 mins from BCM. The hotel has the Pribnce William pub underneath which is mint and the Eastenders bar to the side which does good food. Only thing is the rooms don't have air con and we are 'BOILING' during the night so is worth taking, or renting a fan.

40th Birthday Bash
06 May 2008
Just back from the Teix where we had a 40th birthday booze up. Very basic but always clean and tidy. You get what you pay for and the staff are always very helpful. The lads had a great time and we'll be back again. Happy Birthday again Phil.

cheap as chips
16 April 2008
we stayed here for 3 nights on my stag weekend, staff our very friendly, you even get a free beer on arrival, it is very basic, for only £9 per night it has to be the cheapest hotel on the island, the adjoining pub below was great, wheather was excellent for april, would highly recommend for a cheap, lively weekend. a bargain
10 February 2008
we stayed in the tiex in january.a very basic hotel , no mod cons, no radio, no t.v just a heater. but hey you get what you pay for.
it did look like the hotel were trying to do some improvements to the necessary woodwork like new door frames.
would be ideal for party goers who like to enjoy themselves away from the hotel room but basicly just need somewhere to sleep.
we only stayed for 1 night, and there was no food to be had but a lovely pub just a short walk away that did great snacks and meals and are something to do with the tiex coz if you turn up at the hotel and there is no-one on reception they ask you to go to the pub for your room...cool....i would say the tiex is grat for those who enjoy being close to all the pubs and clubs but dont go there if you are looking for something quiet as i would guess as the season begins this hotel will be very popular and the serounding area verynoisy.
it has a pool but in january we thought we would give it a miss. close to the beach with a great long prominade and lots of stopoffs along the way..if you know what i mean.

Very good value for money, fairly large rooms, next to everything you will need. The only disadvantage is the noise...its right off the strip. No other complaints though. A definate for young groups who are only going to be sleeping in it.

Never got round to staying there but...
31 July 2007
I never actually got round to staying in the Teix but we booked & paid for it while working in Magaluf. We left all our belongings in their luggage room, went to the beach, came back & expected to be allocated a room.
However, we were only due to be staying there for a week & the guy on the reception told us we'd have to change rooms 3 times to allow other guests in!
We got our money back & left!

Just come back from here, went with 5 girls and we had a ball, our room for 5 was great, stayed here before in April and will definitely book again for next year, 2 mins from beach, 5 mins from clubs and 24 hour bar - what more could you want -not 5 star but you get what you pay for, Ive stayed in 3 star in magaluf and this place was a lot better - gutted to be home!! xx

Cheap n crappy but does the job!
03 July 2007
Great location - mins from the beach and the strip so couldn't be better for us. The pool is quite nice and pool bar dirt cheap (1.50 euros a pint!).
On the downside rooms are tired with broken light fittings, doors, etc and our room had a vile smell of blocked drains from the bathroom. Beds are comfortable though and cleanliness (though not great) is acceptable.
Beds are comfortable and the location is great. You get what you pay for and as such the hotel is fine, i'd stay here again but don't go with high expectations!

07 June 2007
what more do I need to say!
Booked late to join stag party, wanted somwhere cheap and basic, got far more than expected (including finding out we had unknowingly booked same hotel as Stag!!)
Rooms big and clean, staff very helpful..........even after one drunken bum wanted to fight them all LOL!
Location spot on for nightlife but quiet enough to get head down (although can imagine august being a bit different.
Would definitely go back next time in magaluf. Only complaint.......Adam's monotonous music track........thats age showing!

What A Weekend !!!
16 May 2007
I've just come back from a Stag Weekend, which was awesome in every sense of the word - The Teix Hotel was great for what we wanted, somewhere to get your head down for an hour before you go out again - With the 'Eastenders Bar' just across the road what more can a man ask for with full Sky Sport coverage, Horseracing (inc. a bookie) and stocked up with Magners. All seriousness, I would stay in the Teix again - Does what it says on the tin, however dont break any bed slats - 15 euro fine on departure !!!

Lets be honest, not the greatest
01 May 2007
You're drunk, you need to collapse on a mattress of some kind and sleep off your stinking hangover after a night on nasty cheap booze before doing it all again. If this is all you want you might as well go for a €15/night place like this. If you want frill's, even of the more basic kind, go somewhere else. If I'm ever daft enough to agree to go on another stag weekend in Magaluf this place would do but if I am ever that daft I would expect my mates to be calling the men in white coats.

We stayed at the Teix Hotel at the end of september 2006 for my hen do there was 11 of us and the hotel did 'exactly what it said on the tin' very friendly clean and tidy hotel, cheap and basic, perfect for an extremly drunken weekend ideal location. cann't comment on the breakfast though as by the time we got in in the mornings we never made it up for breakfast ( but i can recommend the bar across the road for a fry up!!) Cheers Magaluf for a wild and wicked weekend.

5 day getaway
24 September 2006
The hotel could not be in a better location for what we were looking for. ie beach, restaurants and bars. It was clean but basic, however, it was what most party goers would be looking for. The hotel was exactly for groups on stag or hen parties etc but it was a bit rowdy when they were arriving back home after a good night out. The hotel was definitely value for money and I will be telling friends about it for a cheap getaway.

The hotel was very central a great location for partiers, right near the main strip!! Rooms were basic but clean and had everything needed... Pool area was really nice and staff very friendly, 24 hour bar. Prince William pub attached which was great for watching the football and cheap drinks. Eastenders bar across road which was great for an english brekkie to cure the hangover and a good place to start the night. Wouldnt recommend for people wanting a quiet holiday as a very party orientated hotel. Great place to stay and will definatley be returning soon.

my partner and i, now in our 40s, used to stay at the teix in our mid to late 30s. we always had the most fantastic time. i used to stay there in the early nineties, as part of the club 18 to 30 group. i have never wanted to make even one complaint. jimmy used to run the hotel then, i presume he is gone by now. however, my partner and i have decided we would love to return this year. we would highly recommend it to anyone of any age.

Fantastic location less than 5 min walk to the beach, mulligans and main strip! East Enders bar bang opposite hotel which do great cooked breakfasts - rooms basic but ok, bedding and towels changed once a week - you would benefit from hiring a fan! Maids do not understand english very well so its a pain trying to get things sorted as we never got shower fixed!

19 April 2006
The hotel is in a great situation of you want to party! It cost 32 euros from Palma airport to the hotel. The reception is often unmanned but you can get keys and information from the Prince Willism pub which is next to the hotel. It is easy to find your way back to the hotel as there are lots of signs to the Prince William around Magalluf. The pool is small and needs cleaning but this might be better in the summer months. The rooms are basic but clean and have plenty of storage for your clothes. The staff seem to be used to large groups of young friends and you dont't get hassled about any noise you make. I would recommend this hotel to young people but definetely not for families or older couples.

We are a group of 12 women who have just come back from Magalluf where we were celebrating a friend's Hen Party. We stayed for 3 nights at the Teix and had no complaints. The staff were very friendly and were happy to supply us with kettles when we asked. The rooms are very basic but clean, and were fine as a base during our busy three days. There are safety deposit boxes available to hire if required. The hotel is situated in the heart of the nightlife which we found ideal. We were also only a short walk to the beach. I would not recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a quiet holiday as it seems to accommodate mostly groups of young people, hen and stag parties etc so it is noisy through the night.

Ideal location
11 February 2006
This hotel is in the perfect location, although it is advertised as being in Magaluf it is actually in Palma Nova but actually right on the edge of Magaluf. It is situated ontop of The Price William Pub which is open until 6am in the morning. It is also directly opposite the Eastenders Music Pub, which is great.....but you do need earplugs if you want to get any sleep. When we were there only another 6 rooms were actually in use, there was no 24 hr bar or 24 hr reception as advertised maybe this is only during the summer months but as the hotel is owned by the same people that run the Prince William Pub there is not a problem as if you need anything you can just go to the pub and ask. The rooms were very basic but were very clean and tidy, there were actually 3 beds in each room. I would definately stay there again but I wouldn't like to stay there in the summer months. Had a great few nights there would recommend for the budget traveller that just needs somewhere to sleep.

The hotel teix was a very clean and friendly place to stay would definately go back and recommend it to young people who go to party. The rooms are basic but very clean and the maids cleaned our room 3 times a week. The food cooked by Sarah was very good and the rep Hayley was ace. Only minors are there is no fridge in the rooms because you are not allowed to eat and drink in your rooms but they don't mind if you take drink up.
