We've stayed 4 nights in this hotel. From outside, the area is not great as close to the train station. By day it's fine, but by night, I have to admit that we thought it looked a bit dodgy. But then you get used to it and it's not that bad. The room was amazing, very clean, very big, big comfy double bed, a small flat screen TV, big bathroom, quiet as view on the inside court. Well, just what we need after the long days of walk through the city. I think it's worth more than a 2* hotel if judged only by the room. However, the reason why it is not rated more is because of the area and the poor breakfast (2pieces of bread with jam, coffee, tea, juices..). We've just been the 1st day, then we thought we'd better eat something better in Rome! I would definitely recommend this hotel as it is a great value for money (as Rome is so expensive), nice clean room, the staff speaks English and they give you a map of the city.
