Tallink City Hotel

The hotel is situated in the centre of Tallinn and a very short walk to the Old Town. There is a shopping complex directly opposite the hotel which has a range of shops and places to eat/drink. The hotel foyer is light and airy. The staff at check in could not have been more helpful. When we went to our room however, we were a bit let down. We had booked a standard double but got a twin with some of the smallest beds I have seen. The room was very small also. We called down and asked if there were better rooms and a lady came up to show us the different types of rooms available and she could not have been more helpful. We ended up upgrading at an extra charge but it was worth it. The service in general was good and the breakfast was good. The bar was not really up to much and I think more could have been made of it. The girls working there were not particularly happy or helpful. There is a late bar in the basement which is free to enter if you are a guest. It closes Sunday & Monday nights.

Tallinn is a lovely place and we will visit again and probably stay in the Tallink again. The bus from the Airport stops right outside the hotel if you want to save yourself a bit of money. Tickets are 10EEK from the Kiosk inside the Airport which compared with the price of a cab [100-150EEK] is very good value.

Overall a good Hotel.
