Sunset Beach Club Reviews

We stayed in Sunset Beach in May this year. There were 14 of us , adults and children and we found the hotel to be clean and very well run. The staff were friendly and most helpful. Our app was cleaned every day, new towels if we needed them . The hotel's restaurant was gorgeous and provided lovely entertainment and great food. Pool side area also well kept . The close proximity to the beach was a big plus for me . I recommend asking for an exterior room as the view of the sea is beautiful.

we all stayed here for my mams 60th birthday we had a great time very clean we stayed in family room 5 of us on floor 2 it was huge.rest stayed on floor 3.games room for children parrot show.disco supermarket hairdresser beautician, bakery ,gym, jewellery shop it was just great thank you to all the staff for a great holiday

great little play area for young children.nothing much for the 11 year old apart from pool.

We stayed here for a week in May / June. The hotel itself is pretty big with lots of nice touches like a library, internet zones, free wifi (although difficult to connect to), changing room for late leavers etc. The pool area is very nice with two large pools and one smaller one for children. There were plenty of beds and chairs available and a nice pool bar and seperate restaraunt on hand. There was also a play area for toddlers which is a nice touch. The rooms are smallish but have everything you need including satellite tv, fridge, cooker etc which made it easy to make a cheap but tasty lunch and to keep your water / beer nice and cool. We were on teh 14th floor as we had asked for a quiet room (given some of the previous reviews). Unfortunately we were in the room closest to the lifts which did create a fair bit of noise as you heard them moving continually. Nothing we couldn't live with though. We ate in teh oasis bar one night and it was ok if not spectacular. There are some great restaraunts in Benalmadena and we woudl reccomend going to Hong Kong Aberdeen for chinese (doesn't look great but food and welcome amazing) and Sakurya(?) japanese restaraunt in the marina - amazing food and great 'show' to go with it. The drinks prices in the hotel were a little pricey - over 5 euros for 2 soft drinks - but happy hour gives you a chance to get your money's worth! Overall a great hotel with everything you need to hand.

this is a very good run hotel when we arrived we were told we had room on the 14th floor facing mountain we were a bit disappointed but after speaking to reception she said we could move tomorrow morning to seaview when we went to our 14th floor room it wasnt all that bad, the rooms are well kitted the only downside for us was the bed sofa was a bit hard but im sure the hotel in time will sort this the entertainment was very good the elvis act was brillant thanks to all at this hotel also the maids who work very hard,wil be back would def recommend

The Sunset Beach Club is one of the best hotels we've stayed at, it's clean and very well run, the pool area is superb, we had a lovely stay there.

Good hotel, spotlessly clean throughout, I went with my Mum and the "apartment" was perfect, but had I gone as a family with kids I think it would be too small. Kitchen basic, not really what you want for full on self catering but great for a cuppa and some breakfast! Walking distance to shops and restaurants, the little restaurant on the beach right next door to the hotel is lovely. Disappointed that you have to pay to hire beach towels, bit unusual for a 4star.... Breakfast was only served inside which was a shame so we skipped it and headed off down the road for a full english for half the price, in the sun! Having said that if I was going back to Benalmedena I would stay here again, you cant expect perfect for the bargainous rates you can get at this hotel!

Lovely welcome on arrival. Lovely, clean hotel, very well looked after. The apartment very comfortable and had everything we needed. All staff friendly and welcoming. Would definately return!!

Having just returned from a holiday with our Grand Children, we just thought we should let everyone know what this hotel is like. Firstly when we arrived we found the reception staff to be very friendly and helpful, our room was adequate for our needs, very clean apart from a couple of minor instants (Crumbs on the Cutlery Drawer and Bottle Top in the Fridge). The complex was nice and clean but consisted of only 3 Pools (2 Adult & 1 Kiddies), and a large Soft Play Area. Unfortunately all this was let down with Very Very Poor Entertainment for Kids or Adults i.e. What Entertainment there was poorly advertised (Only on the Notice Board and Leaflets handed out when you check in), None Of the Animation Staff came round the pool looking for people to take part in any of the Planned Entertainment. You were Expected to Simply Turn Up at the Alotted Time but this was Impossible as you were NOT informed where they were taking place. A lot of the Animation Staff did NOT speak much English/Scottish, thus creating a language barrier.

Sunset beach club was very relaxixng breakfast was good with a very compact apartment but everything you neede was available under one roof...

Just spent 4 nights (Oct 29 to Nov 2)at The Sunset Beach with 2 teenagers and the in-laws. The rooms were excellent and cleaned every day,food in the hotel restaurant was very good. Couldn't fault the pools and surroundings. Facilities were as good as I've experienced for the price we paid. One down side was the bar staff (particularly during happy hour) forgot how to add up,so check your change. This didn't just happen to me. All in all though I'd certainly go back there.

The Hotel rooms were very good, big spacious and very clean.Room Changes every day, Interiror room faces allot of other apartments which means you have to draw the curtains day and night for any privacy thus leaving you in darkness ;-( The breakfast is only ok not a great choice to be honest limited and very like a huge canteen. Staff were ok. THe entertainment is ok I think this hotel is suited for a family with children. I have stayed in allot nicer hotels. V Package holiday hotel

This is the third time i have visited sunset beach with friends and as a couple cant wait to return in march 2013! The service is excellent the rooms are clean with everything you would need from hairdryer to iron and board. we stayed self catering but often ate in the restaurant where the food is of a high standard i would strongly recommend the sunset beach for the perfect holiday

This was our first visit to Sunset Beach Club it was recommended to us and it certainly lived up to it, we had a lovely stay and everyone was so helpfull..

rooms basic, but everything you need is provided, rooms are cleaned daily, staff have good english and are very helpful, pool area supervised, great location, cant fault it...

We stayed from the 20th September for 5 days and had a great time. The facilities were great for kids and adults alike and the staff very helpful. When we arrived we were put in an internal room, it was terrible. We asked to be changed and they did so without a problem. Make sure you have an external room - nothing worse then the only view you have is looking into someone else apartment especially when you have come from heavy rain in the UK!!. The hotel was kept very clean, the pool area was cleaned every morning and so were our apartments. The only thing that was disappointing was that it was not in a central location, it was at least a 45 minute walk to the marina and it also took a little while to get used to where everything is within the hotel because it is so big - Otherwise it was great.

BOOKED LAST MINUTE ON RECOMMENDATION OF A FRIEND AND WAS NOT DISAPPONTED. COULD NOT FAULT ANYTHING. EVERYWHERE CLEAN AND WELL LAID OUT. ROOMS SUPPLIED WITH IRON, IRONING BOARD AND CLOTHES DRYER. WE BOOKED BED AND BREAKFAST BUT IF YOU WANTED TO GO SELF CATERING YOU HAVE THE CHOICE OF PURCHASING BREAKFAST TOKENS IF YOU DON'T FANCY COOKING.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, rooms immaculate and spacious, directly on beach. All sorts of ages there.

We stayed here for our honeymoon, we thought the hotel was brilliant. Food amazing, entertainment was good, rooms were spotless. We will defo be back to stay here again very soon.
