Newly opened in 2003, Sun Tropical is situated in quiet surroundings of the cosmopolitan area of Playa Blanca and is just 700 meters from the beach of Playa Dorada, 1.5 km from Beach Playa Blanca, and 1.5 km from the resort centre, with its diverse shopping and entertainment facilities such as boutiques, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The Sun Tropical comprises a total of 200 tastefully decorated apartments throughout the two-storey main building and offers guests various facilities including the convenience of a 24-hour reception. There is also a hairdressing salon, bar and an air-conditioned restaurant within the hotel. Guests may also take advantage of the public Internet terminal and laundry services. An array of pools is on offer for guests in the outdoor complex, offering five swimming pools and four children's pools. A sun terrace with parasols and sun loungers is also provided for guests wishing to while away their time in the sun, while sports enthusiasts staying at the Sun Tropical may make use of the tennis facilities. Younger guests can enjoy themselves in the children's playground and kids' club (for 2 to 12 year olds) and a seasonal entertainment programme is also on offer to complete the extensive activities at the Sun Tropical, making a fun-filled stay for all.

Just back from Sun tropical - had a nice time - entertainment for kids is very good - although night time entertainment in dome a bit drab at times. food in complex not so good - was self catering so it was a lot better to eat out. Supermarket expensive compared to ones outwith and selection not that good. Take care in doom with young kids - very slippy. overall enjoyed holiday - Playa Blanca is a really nice place with a beautiful beach.
