Short Break
21 February 2008
Excellent location and good standard of spacious clean accommodation. The rooms are a very good size and the staff very helpful. we had a hot water issue that was solved almost immediately and the staff were very helpful.
Excellent proximity to the beach walway and beach itself with a number of very good eateries all within walking distance. We know Marbella well and if you want shoppping/beach/down town living, pick this hotel. If like us you don't want to be seen as brits abroad, again, book this hotel - you'll feel like a local! Enjoy your stay, we'll definitely use this base again!!

Sultan Club, Marbella, 27th June- 1st July
02 July 2007
We chose Aparthotel Sultan Club because of the very reasonable price, the proximity to the beach and the self-catering facilities. We were 7 girls in Marbella for a more chilled hen relaxation week before the wedding. We were not disappointed, the hotel was grand and clean. Beautiful foyer, small terraces outside for the restaurant and bar which had a distinct Spanish feel. This was certainly no Brits abroad kind of hotel. Spanish and foreigners were present. The staff spoke both Spanish and English although some better than others, this never provided a problem and they were always friendly.
The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was very decent. The bathroom was big and well equipped and the piece de resistance for me was the beautiful verandah. It was very spacious which was handy for us 7 to sit together before a night out and have some drinks.
The hotel has 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. The main street towards the old part of town (Casco Antiguo) where there is a variety of restaurants and boutiques is around the corner. We got a taxi to the Casco Antiguo which cost 6 euros. There are plenty of boutiques and shops including Zara, Mango and Adolfo Dominguez within walking distance (10 mins- on the main road). We got taxis to Puerto Banus to go out and that cost 11 euros. Puerto Banus is more lively, full of bars and shops and you are about 10 minute drive from there.
The beach is a 2 minute walk away, straight down the road. There you can find more restaurants and cafes, a few shops and plenty of sun loungers.
The surrounding area is full of apartments and it is a quiet area. We had 2 front rooms on the second floor and were never disturbed.
In conclusion we had no problems, complaints or concerns with the hotel. We loved the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. It was elegant and had all the necessary amenities including a spa which you could have anything from reiki to pilates, massages to facials.
Would we stay there again? Absolutely.

Sultan Club Marbella
17 June 2007
Stayed here in June 06 and again in June 07. This hotel is apartments only and is located on an avenue consisting of very expensive apartments so it is easy to imagine that for your one or two weeks you actually have an apartment in Marbella. It is well placed, the accommodation is comfortable and the washing/drying machine in your kitchen makes life easier when you get home. Don't expect the staff to all speak good English (you are in Spain remember), but do expect the staff to be helpful and quick to respond should you need them. This hotel is farly laid back and you can easily go the whole of your holiday without seeing too many people (as I say it is like having a home there). Don't expect child entertainers or full entertainment programmes it is not that type of place. Our room was cleaned every day and the towels changed. If you want sun in the morning ask for the front of the hotel and in the afternoon the rear. We prefer the front because the room is cooler later (though there is very good air conditioning if you need it). The verandah (balcony is too small a word) was equipped with loungers and table and chairs, but if you want the best chance of sun and a clear view ask for rooms that are on the 4th floor up as the palm trees at the front are quite tall. Marbella is great if you enjoy a cafe bar type lifestyle rather than karaoke, though it is large enough for everyone to find their niche. The same applies to restaurants, with enough variety to meet most tastes (and budgets). If you like Tapas try Taberna De La Pinxto, where they constantly bring a wide variety of Tapas to you and you enjoy or not as the case may be. You pay when you are ready and the price depends on how many cocktail sticks you have amassed (one for each Tapas). Be wary, the choice is such the sticks can soon pile up at an avreage cost of Euro 1.50. Puerto Banus is just a short bus ride away at Euro 1.15 (about 8 stops from the nearest bus stop 2 minutes away). You really can see cars you can't afford to fill up, but you will be able to afford to eat as like Marbella there is a range of restaurants to suit most pockets. We walked back to Marbella (about an hour) along the coast, but be aware it can be very hot (though there are watering holes along the way). Anyway, we liked the laid back approach at the Sultan Club, its location, its facilities and the price. Would we stay there again? Yes.

Review of 'Sultan Club Marbella'
27 March 2007
We had a lovely time at the "Sultan Club Marbella". The apartment was lovely, very spacious (although there was only two of us and it could accommodate a lot more). The Sultan Club is a very attractive building and situated in a lovely spot. Very clean and well equipped. Only blip was the rooms on either side became occupied towards the end of our stay and we could hear quite clearly the children in the adjoining rooms.

Review of 'Sultan Club Marbella'
10 October 2006
We went to the Sultan Club with a group of friends to attend a wedding in Marbella. On arrival we stepped past the banana trees that hovered over the entrance and into a marble floored hallway with glass lifts overlooking the outdoor pool. The staff were welcoming providing us with a choice of apartment, we opted for an expansive apartment on the 5th floor. The views are stunning from the hotel, the beach is a 5 minute walk away. The pool there is "ice cold" which is refreshing given the 30C heat and that's in October! There is a beauty spa with reasonable prices, an indoor heated pool & jacuzzi. The location is excellent within walking distance of a supermarket, beach, restaurants and 15 minutes from Orange square. I would recommend this hotel to young & old, single and married. I would have loved to have stayed for another week or two!
