An Excellent base for a stay in Nice

We had a excellent short break in the Splendid Hotel and very much appreciated the quality of our room, and the service provided to us. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and ensured that we were well looked after. The accommodation was spacious and the quality excellent with fully modernised facilities and a bathroom twice the normal size! The breakfasts were just fine and the views from the 8th floor restaurant and terrace were superb. I'd return again if ever in Nice, and recommend it to all my friends. Great value for money.

Excellent Hotel

We had a very pleasant stay, the hotel was excellant for the price, the food in the Restaurant was very good, the breakfast was was not so good. Rooms where clean and spacious we had a deluxe room with a jacuzzi, beds where changed everyday. The staff where very friendley including the waiter/barman Stephan who kept us entertained. Lovely hotel

A very enjoyable visit

This was our second stay at this hotel. The location is very good, in a pleasant, quiet street but within a short walk to seafront or town centre. The pool is a little on the small side with access to it up a narrow spiral staircase. Although aren't many sunbeds available we didnt have any problems getting some, even in August. Overall a very clean, well run hotel with friendly, helpful staff, most of whom speak excellent English

A pleasant stay

A very good location. The staff were very polite and the rooms were spacious and spotlesslessly clean with maid service every day. We did feel that the hot breakfast was very poor. We had the same items every day for ten days, scrambled egg that looked as if it had been cooked a week before, horrible pink sausages and tasteless mushrooms. A four star hotel should have offered more variety, variety, with at least the option on a boiled or scrambled egg. Another problem was that guests from the hotel Gounot were allowed to use the pool at the Splendid. This hotel was three star only so guests who paid for four star facillities very often could not get a sun bed by the pool and there were very few of these to begin with.

The hotel is made with great taste, the service is wonderfull.Many thanks to all - very helpful employees – every wish was satisfied. Delicious restaurant with a splendid view. We had a wonderful time in Nice!
