Review of 'SPLENDID ETOILE'

This hotel was exellent.  I went with my daughter for a long weekend in paris and the location could not have been better.  The room had a view of the Arc de Triomphe.  Lots of eateries in the area; the tour bus 'stop' was close by and the area was very safe.  The hotel staff were friendly, the breakfast was nice and if you didn't speak french they could all speak good english.  We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost 44euro and that was at about 11pm.  We booked the moulin rouge for the saturday evening and booked on line before we went.  Well worth the 146 Euro's each - A night to remember.  Not a cheap hotel but worth it.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location

It was fantastic - the location was superb, our room over looked the Arc de Triomphe, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Infact you normally find there is at least one member of staff that perhaps isn't quite as nice but not at the Hotel Splendid, they were ALL lovely. The hotel was so well located, the Air France transfer coach
(which anyone can catch) from the airport stops just across the road and the metro station is right outside the hotel entrance. We will certainly be going back there and recommending it to our friends.
