Fantabulous

This hotel is perfectly located right on the beach. Food is good and the staff excellent providing friendly helpful service without being over attentive. I would reccommend to others and will stay there again myself.

I was meeting family at this hotel and so was traveling alone. Before ariving i had sent an e.ail requesting a room on the same floor as the rest of the party and when i arrived dis overed i had a great room right next door with beautiful sea views. The staff, food pool etc were all great. I think we traveled at the perfect timee as the hotel was not very busy so service was great.

The best hotel in Torremolinos

13 May 2013
An excellent hotel in a prime location. The family room with sea-view was extremely spacious with gorgeous views. The staff were always at hand and ready to help even with room service and house keeping. The food was exceptional with a wide choice of cuisines. Very child friendly with ample pool choice and a variety of entertainment to suit everyone. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again on an annual basis.
The best thing about my stay was…
The complete service and regard for the guests

great value 42€ per room per night for 2

02 February 2013
we stayed for a weekend in January - (mainly older people there) we had a lovely room overlooking the sea, I think our room had recently been renovated. there is a supermarket next to the entrance and a couple of places to eat ( nice Italian on the corner about 9€ for a main course) and a gate by the pool so you walk along the sea front, not many places to eat on the sea front you need to walk towards the town for about 15 minutes to find a few places to eat. there is a bus stop on the sea front 3 minute walk from hotel gate into town costs about 1€ or a walk along the sea front for about 30 minutes and you will find the lift to take you into town (50 cents). staff all friendly and there is a heated ( but not very warm) in door pool.

Mukava hotelli ja hyvä ruoka. Hieman turhan kaukana Torremolinoksen (ydin)keskustasta. Toukokuusta syyskuuhun voin suositella lapsiperheille. Lasten allasalue on kiva. Lisäksi minigolf oli lasten mieleen ja se oli jopa käytössä lokakuussa.

25 September 2012
Myself and my husband along with our 1 yr old daughter and my parents all stayed in the sol principe for a week in sept 2012. Overall we thought this was a fab hotel. We decided to go self catering, the only problem was ther was no kettle our oven. We made do by boiling a pot of water for tea and ther was a microwave provided. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and fresh towels provided every day. The pool was the best part of this hotel...absolutely fantastic., could not have asked for nicer. I had read reviews before i went on how slow the reception were...i cant say we were ever waiting that long to speak to some one but i can only imagine what it would be like in peek season! We only ate in the flinstone burger bar which i would recommend to stay clear of...food wasnt good and it was freezing! We mostly ate every evening in 1 of the many resturants along the beach front. I would highly recommeng "kiwi steakhouse" ,the meal we got here was absolutely gorgeous! I would recommend this hotel to young couples with children!
The best thing about my stay was…
the pool...just amazing!

A lovely family holiday in a nice clean and modern hotel with great food

08 September 2012
We are a family of 6. Two parents plus children of 14, 6, 4 and 6 months. We had a lovely holiday in this hotel and especially loved the pool and food in the restaurant. The evening entertainment was great. The majority of holiday makers were spanish and some could be a little abrupt! Our children were reluctant to stay at the kids club as the majority of children were spanish and the staff mainly spoke in Spanish and did not help to settle our children in.
The best thing about my stay was…
choice and amount of food - yum yum!

Entertaining all the way!!!

30 August 2012
This is a great hotel for children as it has a lot to offer 4 pools, play ground, and nightly entertainment, table tennis etc. lots to do but a very busy place as there was so many children it was very noisy at times at the pools. Great choice at the buffet breakfast and buffet dinner go early for both to avoid the queues. Just across the road to the beach so excellent location.

family friendly hotel

Good hotel to go to (only if you have kids)

14 August 2012
Positives...... Good hotel in general. It is quite a unique 'The Flintstones' themed hotel with the characters doing shows and taking pictures with the kids etc! Rooms were very clean but not very spacious for three. We were given a room in the main building and was a decent 4 star hotel room. We have been told however that rooms in the annex building (where the apartments used to be apparently) is very run down and needs refurbishment! Breakfast and dinner was very nice and had a fair selection and it varied everyday. The pool area is the best the hotel has! and the kids entertainment was great too. Definitely a place to take your little ones as it is very child orientated. Negatives...... The hotel in general was very very busy (in August) and could be quite noisy at times. There were hundreds of kids everywhere. Reason for not recommending it if you are not going with kids of your own! Biggest downside was the long queues to check-in (it took us 1 hour 30 minutes to check-in). The restaurant could also be very busy at peak 'Spanish' times. I recommend early sittings rather than at later times. Difficult to find sun beds with sun umbrellas. You have to go very very early to get one!
The best thing about my stay was…
My 2 year old enjoyed it tremendously! he loved the pools and entertainment.

Doesn't cater for English Speaking very well

09 August 2012
Hi, Just back from spending 10 days in the Sol Principe, the hotel is a large hotel catering mainly for families. The pools were great but extremly load and busy specifically the kids pools. The hotel is clean and the food is ok. The main problems we had were with the staff (if you were Spanish you got treated much better), the lack of effort to speak English in the kids entertainment, shows etc and the busyness of the restaurant and pool areas. We had booked 2 rooms and arrived on the Tuesday and took both rooms then. One of our party did not arrive until Thursday so one room remained empty for 2 nights. When she arrived on the Thursday and went to get into her room it was occupied by another couple and she had to be reolocated. Because we had asked for rooms together we both had to move 5 floors to be accomodated. Although this was the hotels fault we did receive any asistance in moving. the rudeness of the hotel staff was evident from the moment we checked in. If you are Spanish you will love this hotel.

Very nice hotel

06 August 2012
Hotel: very clean and well kept. Staff: very friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault the staff. Location: it depends what your looking for. It is perfect for being beside the beautiful sandy beach, with supermarket and other facilities close by, it is around 15mins uphill walk to the main square. Near by facility: a must see Puerto Marina. Right on the boarder between Torremolinos and Benalmadena. Faults of the hotel: a double room consisted of two singles pushed together, which kept on wheeling apart from each other.
The best thing about my stay was…
The pool and seaside view and being across the road from the beach

Excellent clean hotel. Very child friendly

22 June 2012
Stayed here for 1 week in late June. The hotel facilities and location are excellent. The room was spotless, breakfast excellent and grounds welcoming. The location though is the best bit about the hotel. The quieter end of the promenade and miles of sandy beaches and walks to enjoy. Would recommend to all families.
The best thing about my stay was…
Very family friendly.
