Week Break in Sol Lanzarote
12 June 2008
Only spent a week but On the plus side of the Sol Lanzarote Hotel very clean. Pool area clean. Good side room for family of 4. Clean beds and towels every day. Felt very safe complex for kids. Nice location beside the beach and only 5 euros or less in taxi to puerto del carmen. Lovely walk also along the beach front. Good food shop outside hotel also and spar only few mins walk. On the negative side :
Bar staff very rude and slow. Entertainment room has very dark steps, with very dim lights only going up steps can be dangerous with small kids. Only heineken bottles. Reception staff very helpful but could be slow and sometimes confusing.

sol lanzarote
28 April 2008
Room clean, balcony very small, birds a bit of a pest for me, the beds great and air con
all in all ok room. I had a bit of a problem with the room at checkin as I requested a room with a pool / sea view which I could clearly see on my alpharooms voucher and the reception decided they would put us into a room with a view of the car park. I complained about this and the duty manager put us into the room we should have got with sea and pool view which was lying empty.
Why do they not put you into the room that has been requested in the first place I find this very annoying.
Apart from the first night the holiday and location of the hotel was first class.
Oh our flight back home did not leave lanzarote till 23.20pm we paid another 40 euro to enable us to stay in it from 11.00am normal check out time till 20.30pm the same day. I felt this was a bit high as you could clearly see the room was empty for that day.

Excellent holiday
03 April 2008
Very happy with this hotel. We got a very spacious apartment with lovely seaviews which was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was so good that we dropped lunch everyday! The entertainment provided for the kids is excellent (Flintstones Club), especially one guy called Arne is wonderful interacating with kids!
We didn't like that the pool for kids was quite cold (only the very deep one was heated), and only one working internet terminal (other three were out of order) is not good for a hotel of that size. But overall excellent choice!

Brilliant holiday
31 March 2008
This was our first time at in Lanzarote. I was pleased overall with the accomodation. The rooms were tidied and made up everyday.Only criticism was the floors in the room were not cleaned. The hotel was conveniently located to shops and to the beach. We ate out all the time. The pools and pool area was lovely and the hotel staff were friendly. The island itself was very scenic, loads to see and do.

Nice Time
24 March 2008
Just returned from Sol Lanzarote and had a lovely time. Apartment cleaned every day and new towels also every day. The staff were nice but a few more to help out is very badly needed. People had to wait a long time to check into their rooms and tempers flared in the heat. The bar is also very understaffed.
Definitely not a 4 star Hotel as advertised. A customer comment book is on display outside the resturaunt in the hotel and some of the comments would astound you. Mabye the manager of the hotel should read it now and again and see what his clients feel about this hotel. Judging by the size of the complaints it is there for a laugh.
Anyway we got a cheapie on this holiday but would not pay full price to stay in this hotel.

Relaxing winter/spring break
21 March 2008
Went in early March and stayed self catering. Hotel very nice and clean. First impressions very good with helpful check in staff (Carlos). Room very spacious and comfortable with seperate living area with pull out sofa. Maid service very good and room cleaned/towels changed daily. Pool area was nice kinda difficult to get a lounger when busy because of the size of the hotel and the wind on the beach meant it was the only real option. Two good sized pools one was positively arctic but the "heated" pool was nice, at least the ice was melted :-) . Bar staff were pretty rude and seemed hassled even when not that busy. Area was quiet but had some nice restaurants and good value, bars were very hit and miss. Didnt eat at the hotel so cant judge it, the Bar and staff put me off. Overall a nice hotel and good value when booked outside of a package for a winter break.

Great Holiday
11 March 2008
Another great hol. at the Sol Lanzarote. The tradition of friendliness and helpfullness is excellent here as at all Sol Hotels. We were overlooking the Garden and the beach. The resturaunt is adequate but we used it only twice in 2 weeks and went out to dinner.
Basically a home from home.

February 2008
08 March 2008
Room-Clean, comfortable, well maintained ,but cold as we were at the back of Hotel. If I went again I would want a room at the front.
Reception-Always busy and some not friendly. It would help to have someone to help to get started on the computers e.g. to set up appropriate language.
Restaurant-Good food and staff friendly. Tablecloths changed after every sitting-very often this was unnecessary.
Entertainment-Very varied. I was particularly impressed by the staff in charge of childrens entertainment although we had no children with us.

Fun but not for College Students
08 March 2008
Overall, very nice. Definitely got our money's worth with the all inclusive. The only downfall of the resort is that it is severely understaffed. This causes the staff that are there to be under immense pressure to help everyone. |
