The Sol Gavilanes is located next to the sea, right on the Santa Galdana Beach, featuring one of the best coves with the nicest, finest white sand in Menorca. The grand hotel is just 200 metres away from Cala Galdana’s shops and restaurants and only 15 kilometres away from the picturesque town of Ciudadela. The hotel has its own extensive tropical gardens and pinewoods which provide the perfect relaxing atmosphere for a pleasant stay. **Please note: The Sol Gavilanes (Menorca) are proud to announce Sportacus, the hero from the popular ‘Lazy Town’ children’s program, will now be appearing throughout the two hotels in order to encourage young guests to eat well and participate in a bit of sport each day. A "contract" is signed between the children and parents with the parents promising to grant their children a wish at the end of their holiday if the children have been able to earn enough points on their ‘Superhero Passport’. Points are earned through encouraging the children to eat fruit, drink plenty of water, clean their teeth and undertake a bit of sport each day. The new initiative runs alongside the new entertainment program where ‘Sportacus’ will make appearances at the hotels to encourage a healthier lifestyle to children and ensure they have fun in the mean time.**

Our fifth stay and gets better. They have upgraded here and there. Food was just right with plenty of choice. The fresh fruit was excellent. Very nice staff as well. Highly recommennded.
