Fine for basic accommodation close to bars and beach which suited our football tour requirements. Didnt use the pool much but lots of sad people must get up very early to put out towels.

Apartments were very standard and the maids came around three times a week staff were very friendly the only down fall is the pool area, if you wanted a sunbed you had to be down at the poolside bt 8.30 then it was a mad rush to get a bed. Good places to eat are Roma, Champions which is over the hump bridge the staff are fab, Cheers and they have brill entertainment for the kids, but after 12 it becomes a nightclub and if you are staying at the front of the hotel dont expect to get to sleep until around 4am with all the noise. Shops, bars resteraunts are all very close just turn left out of the hotel and at the top of the street both ways are an abundance of everything you will need on holiday. Activities to do are the crazy shark boat trip what a thrill, medieval knights be prepared to do alot of shouting its great and the cat island boat trip great for that tan lunch and everything is provided. Our holiday was great the only thing i can really grump at is the air conditioning during the night it blew hot air and believe me it was hot enough already as the temp during the day was 36 and still hot at night

A very pleasant accommodation
04 August 2007
We have just returned from the Sol Alcudia cente and I have to say I was very pleased with the position of the hotel as there were lots of restaurants and bars in the close vicinity and taxes and local buses were also close by. The one bedroomed apartment was very spacious with two substantial rooms, a small kitchenette and a full balcony. It was very clean and well kept. The pool area was also very pleasant, however, trying to get a sunbed was a nightmare as people were up at first light and there was a mad scramble. The poolside bar served light snacks and prices were reasonable. Overall I was very pleased with the accommodation and would recommend this to people with young children as there is a mini-club, mine are now grown up!

Review of Sol Alcudia Center Hotel Apartments
11 June 2007
My girlfriend and I spent 7 nights at this hotel, self catering. The hotel itself was very clean and neatly presented. The room was a good size and the kitchen kitted out quite modernly compared to others we have stayed at. It is in a central location, with shops and restaurants right on your doorstep. A few things that did bother us though. Firstly if you have an outside facing room it can be extremely loud, we were woken up every morning by a man with a loud machine that sounded like a strimmer blowing all the leaves off the pavements. This is probably a seasonal chore but none the less it went on for a long time as he did one side of the road then came back to do the other. We were woken up on several other occasions by bin men, loud drunken people and various other noises, and we were on the top floor so it was probably louder for everyone else below us!
We were not impressed that we had to pay to use the sun bed cushions by the pool. I would understand maybe asking for a deposit if they are worried about theft, but we paid to use the facilities in this hotel and we expected the sun loungers to be part of this. Instead we had to pay every time we wanted one.
The only other thing that we didnt like was the bar menu. It is very limited and what we did choose to eat we were then told they didnt actually have. When we did receive our food my girlfriends hot dog was cold and her baguette burnt to a crisp! The poor lady behind the bar did apologise but didnt offer to make another one, as she was too busy. She really didnt appear to know what she was doing and there was no one else in sight to help. As we sat and finished our drinks (very overpriced i should add) we noticed every customer after us had walked away unhappy too.
Evening entertainment seemed ok for the kiddies.
There is a restaurant called top gio in another part of alcudia towards can picafort that we absolutely loved and recommend. The food is lovely and service very friendly.
Over all we found this hotel to be average but probably won't be staying again.

Just returned from holiday where we spent 4 nights in this hotel self catering, very nice stay, hotel clean, staff friendly, facilities more than adequate, I recommend this hotel. There is a bar nearby called Crazy Horse that does the cheapest San Miguel (bottles) around, 3 Euro for 2 bottles, impressed again.

The hotel is placed very centrally - 5 minutes to beach, and 2 minutes to the "Dollar-street" with shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel is mainly used by families with children/teenagers

This hotel was in a great location, central to the beach and also the bars and resturants in the area. (less than 5 mins walk to each)however for those who like to stay on complex, entertainment was provided in the hotel bar every night for both adults and children. It was also great value for money considering the quality of the apartment(spacious living area, modern kitchen, microwave) which we were pleasantly surprised with. The hotel was also great for families as there was lots to do for those with children in the complex, but also good for couples. The pool was never too busy and sunbeds were nearly always available. I would go again anytime.

Staff are very friendly and helpful and I would definatly reccomend you going there. Entertainment was fun and everyone got involved. Ideal for lounging about near the pool although not very many sunbeds. Cleaning services could be better although not too bad. Surrounded by a good beach and a range of both cheap and expensive pubs, bars and restaurants. Good for groups of young people as there many new people to meet. Also a good selection of cultural bars and restaurants so you can have a taste of the local life. Staff are nice to holiday makers and are easy to get along with as well as helpful with any situations which may arise.

Review of 'SOL ALCUDIA CENTER APARTMENTS'
15 October 2005
Just paid £200 for a week (3rd to 10th October 2005) in an apartment which was good for this price.Reasonably clean ( maid service everyday bar one inc. clean towels, decent level of equipment, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Good central location. NOW MORE GENUINE COMMENTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW. (Please believe me I'm not posh or prudish!)
The hotel has 250 rooms, a swimming pool that's 20 foot by 10 foot & only 50 sunloungers !!!! A problem even in October. The entertainment was the usual failed club acts & parrot show. But the main thing is the guests. DO NOT think about going here if you DON'T have tattoos & numerous piercings (Male or Female) & like getting to sleep before 4am!, it's not the classiest place I've been to & I think £200 is as much as I would want to stay here. Finally Alcudia is hideously expensive, a pint was €3.95,a main course was at least €15 everywhere, we even paid 2 quid for a pint of milk in one shop !!! luckily we had a car & went to Puerto Pollensa every night & paid €250 a pint & €10 for a 3 course meal !! The apartment was fine for the money, but everything else was terrible.

22 August 2005
we stayed 11-18 August 2005, pretty average hotel, rooms reasonably clean although not ready on arrival,we had one day where we had no maid service at all so we had to put up with dirty towels for 2 days, it was impossible to get a sun bed unless you stood by the pool at 8.30am when it opened. Entertainment was quite good over the week although there 1 or 2 poor nights in gereral not to bad for a family on a buget

Review of 'SOL ALCUDIA CENTER APARTMENTS'
15 August 2005
Not the cleanest appartments I have stayed in. During our stay we had clean towels every other day and that is about all, there was no cleaning of the bathroom, mopping of floors, or general tidying up. Our bedclothes were only changed once and this was on the day prior to departure. The chance of getting sunbeds around the pool is poor if you are not there at 8.30am, as despite notices about reserving sun beds the staff do not enforce it. Evening entertainment was really quite poor. We had a bag taken from around the pool area and the staff and reception were not interested and most unhelpfull, so watch your belongings. If my wife and I were travelling on our own we would not have stayed here. The number of under 16's made it ideal for our son.
