What our customers say
Soberanis appeared at first sight to be a modest place but it was rich with good service and a willingness to please. The tariff of 550 pesos is reasonableness itself to the English pocket: less than £25 for a spotless large double room with ensuite shower/toilet and a/c, plus a complimentary "continental" breakfast that beat all such described breakfasts we have ever had. There was a vast array of gorgeous croissant type pastries, oodles of orange juice and gallons of coffee on tap, all help yourself style but a friendly young waiter on hand to assist if needs be.
The Security lady helped us sort out the a/c quickly and on leaving in too much haste I left my jacket behind but was rescued by the prompt action of the front desk Manager who tapped on the Taxi roof in the nick of time.
The only unfortunate aspect was there being no lift. A test for our arms when we ascended to the first floor room. Help would have been available I'm sure if we had asked. To some degree the small remote room window disappointed but I noticed other rooms did have full double windows onto the venting space between floors and landings.
To think that they looked after our cases after the mid-day check-out and rescued my jacket and still I overlooked to leave a tip for the chamber-maid. Shame on me! I hope this will go some way to my confirming that the Soberanis Hostal provides a good deal with a good heart. Muchas Gracias Soberanistas! Thanks to to alpharooms for making the service easy to access.
