Highly Recommended
30 July 2008
Visited Simbad as a couple for 5 days at the end of July 2008 on the recommendation of some friends. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. This is a great hotel and very clean. We found ALL the staff (night reception, cleaners, bar staff etc etc..) to be very friendly and very helpful at all times. The view is lovely and the venue very serene, being tucked in the centre of a bay.
Breakfast is buffet style and available until about 10:45am (we never got up early enough to find out when it opened). The selection and quality for breakfast was pretty good. We never ate in the restaurant for lunch or in the evening so cannot comment on the food quality beyond breakfast.
Location is great because it is about a 30-45 minute walk (less if you take a water taxi from El Divino) or a quick 10Euro cab ride into the centre. To the airport was about 20Euro and San Antonio was a tad under 30Euro.
The room we stayed in was a double and found it to be a good size (both bedroom and bathroom) with a balcony and all the amenities worked well. TV, air con etc. etc.
We were even able to have a shower and freshen up before leaving for the airport in the early hours of the morning.
All in All we had a fantastic stay. No complaints what-so-ever. If you are looking for a clean and pleasant hotel that has very helpful staff and in a good location that won't break the bank, then it comes highly recommended.

FANTASTIC holiday
15 September 2007
Went here the first week of September. Hotel has excellent facilities - very very clean and cool modern bar area. Rooms are nice - Great value for money overall. BUT food is very very POOR. Go to the Marina if you want anything decent. Breakfast is ok - fresh omelettes etc. But anyting else is practically inedible! and waiting staff in restaurant are rude!!
However would definitely go back! Great location and bar/reception ataff are great - especially Sammi!

Stayed there in June for a week. Very, very clean hotel with excellent rooms. Staff superb and very friendly especially Jose the barman!! Buffet style food for breakfast & dinner which was varied and good quality. As two single girls we felt it was very quiet and out of the way but great if you need to sleep in peace after a heavy night out! The pool area was immaculate and well kept with lots of beds and unbrellas. The only setback when we were there was the smell of stale seaweed and sewage being moved by a digger and lorry - not pleasant! All in all a great hotel and well worth every penny. Great value for money! Would definitely stay there again.

I'd describe the stay as very average. We asked the hotel for a room with a view - well we certainly got one - a view of the local brothel! We asked on checking-in if we could move any time during our stay if another room came free or between bookings - but the hotel were only interested in the package companies staying there to whom we suspected they allocate all seaviews - so we didn't stand a chance. The maids were great and came in every day. Breakfasts were varied but bog standard. Location good though - easy to get out and about just a short walk to the Marina and an El Divino boat trip to Ibiza Town. So if you're looking for a good location and don't intend to spend time at the hotel - this is ideal. But if you're looking for a hotel to stay around and eat at - this wouldn't be it!

The Simbad is an excellent Hotel, recently refurbished. The Staff are very friendly and helpfull. The only downside is the location, as we like to walk to bars and restaurants, but a 6 Euros taxi ride, which the reception will call you, gets you into Ibiza town.
