What our customers say

My husband and I took our 2 year daughter for a 2 week holiday to the Sheraton Soma Bay in March and had a fantastic time. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and is set on a private beach. For young children, there is a separate kids pool with toys and small playground and also a great kids club for all the children and even though my daughter was officially too young, she was warmly welcomed. In the evenings, there a kids disco, perfect to tire the little ones out before bed. Food wise, there are three restaurants, a buffet open for breakfast and dinner serving a huge variety of freshly prepared food; it is arguably one of the best buffets I have ever eaten from, and we have stayed in a lot of 5* resorts, a poolside restaurant, serving mainly grilled food (also lovely) and an a la carte. We eat at the a la carte once, but personally I found the buffet restaurant to be superior. We found all of the staff to be courteous and friendly. There are water sports available (for a charge) on the beach, and a scuba dive centre has just opened next to the hotel. For one day, we took the hotel shuttle into Hurghada, mainly to buy nappies, but to be honest, there was nothing else worth seeing. The shops sell the ususal toursit tat, so are ideal if that's what you want, but we came back an hour later, along with everyone else who felt the same! We missed our hotel!! In all, I really do not think we could have had a better holiday if we had tried. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a young family, or a couple looking for a bit of peace and quiet. There is a nightclub, but this was not well used, and I would say that if you are looking for a lively nightlife, this is NOT the place for you. The hotel attracts a lot of German/ Austrian/ Italian families, which makes for a really continental feel.
