What our customers say
We've just come back from 3 nights here and I have to say that it is a fine hotel. Centrally located, clean and average size. Staff were friendly and we were lucky when we asked for a view of the Gran Via we got it. The soundproofing is very good but Madrid, doesnt sleep, so if you're a light sleeper there's no point in having a front room the traffice noise will be drowned out but the sirens wont! The beds are adjustable..handy when you're worn out to stand up...the minibar is free..coke, orange, lime, waters and 2/3 beers. Bathroom small, but hey, who needs to dance in there! The safe is free there's a hairdryer, trousers press, iron and ironing board, and a reclining chair. Toileteries etc replaced daily. Shower was powerful but very high for me. Bed firm/ok, and there were extra feather quilts if you needed them and a pillow menu. Overall, as we expected, nice hotel, centrally located in a beautiful city. And yes the ladies of the night are just outside the door but you can always look the other way, personally I found it funny, as its not something we're used to, us countrymugs! If you want to ride the Metro, you can travel directly to/from the aiport to the doorstep for 2 Euro each way. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport only, for about 8 euro each but book it a day in advance. Breakfast fine for cold buffet, there is a good selection and you can have bacon, if you're quick and omlettes.
