when we arrived we were greeted by the resptionist who was very friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious and had a spare room with a single bed and soafer...wich the wife an i used to get ready in an store suitecases we found the rooms an toilet very clean and were cleaned daily as were the sheets wer stayed on a B&B basis an found the breakfast ok with chioce of continental and english ....during my stay it was my birthday and found a bottle of champange on ice with glasses wich i found to be a lovely touch seems we did'nt mention it to anyone ....the location of the hotel is at the quiet end of town about 2-3 minute walk to all the pubs an eating places ...no pool but the beach is just across the road about a 50m walk will be booking again for 10 days in september would recomend to anyone

The hotel is located at the quiet end of the main strip, with only a short walk to the main bars & restaurants. The beach is across the road. The hotel is very clean & the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels & bedding every day. There is a good choice for breakfast.

Santa Catarina is a lovely hotel with excellent staff. rooms very clean and great location right on the beach. All you want is just a short walk away, places to eat, bars, shows, shops,buses and Marina. we were bed/breakfast and for what we paid it was good value with lots of choice. The staff were very good always going out their way to book trips or attend to any querries regarding the hotel. Thought we might miss not having pool but with the beach on your doorstep it was no problem in fact a plus. will certainly book this hotel again.Loved it.

Very pleased with Santa Catarina. Stayed there 3years ago so it was our second visit. Our first visit was bed and breakfast and a double room.This time we had half board and paid extra for a twin room with a sea view. Had a great sized room and balcony so it was well worth the extra. Its always nice to have a balcony to sit on and watch the people go by. Staff were very helpful and the rooms were cleaned every day. No swimming pool but you have the beach just in front of hotel. Breakfast was same every day but choice of hot and cold or both if wished for. Evening meal was alright(waiter service) but would have prefered to eat out because of vast choices of eateries in resort.

room service is every day i had a sea view with no extra charge it was exelent value for the price so taking that into account i have no complaints.

Hotel good value for 3 star. Excellent room with sea view which was spotlessly clean and serviced daily. All staff especially breakfast servers were polite and friendly at all times. Although we cannot fault the actual hotel at all we have to report that on visiting the restaurant one night, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of food and also the total lack of customer service from the staff. Even after we had complained it was totally ignored. We did discover however, when checking out of hotel that the restaurant was not part of the hotel but managed independently. Thankfully there were plenty of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel serving good and reasonably priced food. Definately would use hotel again

THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY BUT THOSE IN THE DINING ROOM LACKED A BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF ENGLISH WHICH THEN CAUSED PROBLEMS. THE SAME EVENING MENU WAS OFFERED ON TWO CONSECUTIVE DAYS AND THE SAME SOUP (VEGITABLE) WAS THE ONLY OPTION FOR FIVE OF THE SEVEN NIGHT STAY. AN ATTEMPT TO RAISE THE ISSUE WITH THE MANAGER FAILED BECAUSE HE WAS SAID TO BE ON HOLIDAY AND THE STAFF WERE NOT IN A POSITION TO RESPOND IN A PRACTICAL WAY.

The accommodation was clean, tidy and in a great location. Food was good with a different choice each evening.

Modern, sterile hotel. Excellent room. Bed linen changed daily. Breakfast was ok. Decent ham would have been nice though. Need a bigger but rotating toaster. No pool but sea is close across the road, down the steps. Restaurant somewhat hit and miss. You are right on the strip near the beach so plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.

we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We stayed on a half board basis andreally enjoyed our meals. The food was all freshly cooked and served fairly quickly. We would have no hesitation to use this hotel again.

my husband and I stayed at the hotel Santa Catrina for my birthday, a 4 days break.I would recomend any one stay there, for it's was clean and the meals was tasty and plenty.

Have stayed at two toher hotels before in Praia Da Rocha, Oriental and Luar at either end of resort. Both these hotels were also nice, this time opted for Santa Catarina due to location, seaviews and price. No regrets about choosing this hotel. Lovely hotel, very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Stayed in room 401, spacious, clean and with good view of beach from balcony. Fab, powerful shower over bath. No pool at hotel but sea literally a stones throw away. Small resort but with lots of restaurants and bars (with live music at quite a few) and the odd club (although we are a little past going to clubs so can't tell you what they were like). Breakfast has selection of cereals, breads with cheese n ham. Hot items were hotdogs, scrambled egg and bacon. Overall would recommend resort and hotel.
