Sandy Golf

We arrived at our bungalow and couldnt believe how lovely it was, the bungalows are extremley clean and are a great size. we travelled as a family of 3 and found everything as it should be. The bungalows comprise of a nice bathroom with bath & shower a lovely little kitchen with everything you need, dinign table and living room area and a bedroom with two single beds, but we used the couch as a third bed. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and were always cleanes very well. The Cordial Sandy Golf is in a fantastic location in quiet Maspalomas but to get to Playa del Ingles it takes about 20 minutes walk (up a steep hill some of the way) or you can catch a taxi from outside the hotel (they drive past and you just wave one down) they usually charge about 3 euros, in Playa del Ingles is the main nightlife and shopping centre, the Yumbo which is fantastic,all the gift shops and resteraunts,brilliant to walk around in the evening. The beach is a walkable distance too, but once again you can get a taxi, the walk is beautiful though, walk across the dunes is a must!! Holiday world is a must for the kids, my son (aged 7)loved it, and to be fair it was very reasonable. This is about a ten minute walk away from the Samdy Golf. We hired some bikes from the Faro 11 centre and rode along the promenade....VERY tiring in that heat but fantastic. Anyway back to the Sandy Golf...All the staff here are great and helpful, ht eresteraunt has a bbq once a week which is fantastic and the food was lovely throughout our stay. The pool was freezing but it was a relief to be honest as gran canaria had a heat wave the whole time we were there...YEY!!! always loads of sunbeds available and everyone there was very very friendly. I would highly recommend this coplex and Maspalomas a resort as it is Very quiet but is really close to all ameneties. Go to Aquopolis too you can have free entry on a second visit just go to customer services and they give you a band. All in all al fantastic holiday, excellent location and marvellous accomodation. This is our second visit to Sandy Golf and once again we were not disappointed.The bungalows have been re-furbished and are definitely worthy of a higher rating.There are people of all nationalities here and the atmosphere is very peaceful and friendly.
We have stayed at bigger hotels in Gran Canaria but Sandy Golf is our favourite.
Good location,very good restaurant,and excellent room cleaning service. Highly recommended.

we have stayed at sandy golf 5 times in 2 years and will definately be going back again. i agree with the couple above sandy golf does deserve a high rating, the staff are excellent,the complex is ran very well,the food is excellent limited choice but excellent and service is superb,we go self catering and eat at the complex restaurant 3 or 4 times. yes accommodation is basic but kept very clean, you definately get more than what you pay for, the cleaners speak little english but are very friendly always with an ola and a smile,the bungalows are like little houses with your own garden,sun loungers,chairs & tables outside each bungalow,if you want a nice peaceful relaxing holiday this is the place.if sandy golf modernised just a little bit it would be one of the top bungalow complex in maspolomas. taxi's available all hours to take u into playa del ingles. free bus to the beach each day.nothing is too much trouble for the sandy gold you got to stay there at least once.
