Well, What can i say? When we arrived at the hotel and walked in,, straight away we noticed the beautiful stair case in the reception area, everything was decorated beautifully, in the reception area was a supermarket, which provided everything you need if you are self catering from small snacks to frozen sausages and spaghetti bolognase. We checked in and they upgraded us to the beach front becasue they were free.. Result! It was a bit of a struggle lugging our cases up and down the steep ramps and we eventually found our room. When we walked in we were stunned! It was Clean, Smelt nice and had all the essentials.. Dishwasher (even though it was broke) kettle, toaster, oven, fridge, freezer.. the lot! Then before you enter the bathroom there are American like double sinks and mirrors which is great for the girls.. Has a built in hair dryer in the wall, which was actually better than the one we had bought from home. The bath room was clean and never felt the need to get paranoid about things like cockroaches.. because there just wasnt any at all. In the Living area, there was a double cupboard which i didnt see the point of, but when we opened it up it had a fold down double bed!! We was amazed... we thought we would have to stay on the sofa !! The double bedroom was very spacious and looked out onto the tennis courts. The balcony looked straight out into the sea which was beautiful, looking out into it at night was amazing and even taking a walk down the short pier was nice. Although the resort has its own private beach we didnt think the water looked very clean so we spent most of our time around the pools, which were freezing but lovely once you were in. We took a walk down the proper beach which is literally right outside the resort, and there was a beautiful part with clear blue water. Overall i was very impresses with the quality and standards of Sands Beach Resort and would definately recommend anyone to come!!

Sands Beach Review
27 April 2008
Stayed at Sands Beach between 17th-24th April 2008 with my husband, 18 month old baby and 16 yr old neice.
When we arrived we were given a junior 1 bed apartment, this was very dark, old, dirty and small. We went back to reception and had to pay 42 euros to upgrade to a refurbished 1 bed apartment. This was fantastic, very spacious, clean and bright in Plaza Del Sol. Very clean. I would recommend this resort to anyone travelling with small children and toddlers, the private beach and lagoon are fantastic. My baby loved it. We didn't need to take any buckets and spades, as previous holidaymakers had left them behind and there were loads on the beach to chose from.
The food at the Mai Tai Pool Bar was excellent and I can recommend the Chicken Skewers. Service was great.
The whole resort of Costa Teguise was great for eatng and drinking with a baby, they would bring a highchair, small plate and child sized cultery to the table when we sat down.
The best meal we had was at Jumbo Chinese in the centre of Costa Teguise and the waiter entertained us by doing tricks, children and ladies get a free gift with the bill and you can drink as many free shots as you like. Saxos bar was good for a few drinks and entertainment. Happy hour between 8pm and 9:30pm.
I would recommend this resort and Sands Beach, we are going back ourselves in October. The only bad thing as far as my neice was concerned was it was too far from the main resort, about a 15 minute walk along the main road or along the beach path, be careful as the path disappears and trying to push a buggy through the sand is not great, or a short taxi ride costing 3 euros.
Weather was great but could get very windy. Pools were freezing cold.I was worried about taking my baby as it was our first holiday abraod with him, but the Sands Beach Resort was fantastic if travelling with a baby once we had upgraded our apartment. I recommend it, has everything most families look for on holiday.

Sands Beach holiday review
12 March 2008
We had a lovely holiday from 7/02/08 - 6/03/08 and could not have wished for better accommodation. Having booked a studio appartment for a month we felt a little apprehensive as to the comfort of the apartment for that length of time. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the space and cleanliness. Furnishing and equipment was good quality and there was plenty of storage space. The whole complex is very pretty and well thought out. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the maid service was excellent. Two of our friends joined us for the second two weeks staying also in a studio apartment. They were of the same opinion as ourselves. The swimming pool by our apartment was not heated, which was a shame. We would certainly recommend Sands Beach to our friends and family.
We arrived home feeling relaxed and refreshed thanks to Sands Beach.

Sands Beach Review
22 February 2008
We went to this complex in February - myself , husband and three teenagers (13 and 2 * 16 yr olds). When we arrived they said they didnt have a 2 bed apartment as we had requested but immediatly gave us 2 *1 bed interconnecting rooms which were really good. We have had a great time , the site is so clean , well equipped and well thought out. I dont think we have ever stayed in such a well equipped apartment and we have stayed in many resorts. It caters for everyone. Only one comment against the site is that there are ramps everywhere which is great except they are rather steep so if you think you will need these with disabled people or young children - you should talk to someone about this beforehand. However for us it was a great holiday , a lovely place and we would definitely go there again and recommend to others - thank you.

Holiday
13 October 2007
We stayed in the Sands Beach Resort from 04/10/07-11/10/07.I was accompanied my mum age 85 and aunt age 83-which was disclosed at time of booking but was astounded on arrival that they had put us in a 2nd floor apartment with steep stairs. We also arrived at midnight and the area was very dark and not marked very well to find the accommodation. As there are 6 areas in this resort i feel they should have someone to show you to your room especially at night. The night staff were not very helpful at all. Eventually we were given a ground floor apartment in Palmeras which was an excellent location but we had to pay 70 euros(as this was classified as an upgrade). However after a bad start we loved the place. The way the areas are laid out-like a courtyard with your own pool was very acceptable. We ate lunch in the Mai Tai restaurant-the other restaurant was closed for renovation.WE spoke to a lot of people who go back every year and love it.I would certainly go back and recommend it to friends and family but i would explain a few things to them beforehand.

sands Resort
20 August 2007
My wife and my family stayed at the Sands Beach Resort, Aug 1st to 15th. We booked a villa with Pool view but were assigned to a beach view. This was to be an up-grade as all pool views were booked up. To our dismay we found this to be a down grade. The villa was dark, no airconditioning and in the furthest away part of the complex from the reception, no pool or sea view, but only a stone wall. When i was moved to what i booked then my holiday commenced.Plaza Verde. Bright and airy with two ceilling fans, dish washer, the works. The complex as a hole is very clean and well maintained. eating in the mai tai restaurant was as good as it gets. Entertainment was only ok.

Review of 'SANDS BEACH VILLAS RESORT'
18 January 2007
We had a brilliant time here, however Tequise is not the best resort for three 19 year olds. The accommodation was spot on and we were right outside one of the biggest pools on site which wasn't cold during our stay in sep 06! The food was all reasonably priced wherever we ate at, there wasn't much entertainment on site for us and the entertainment that was there didn't attract many holidaymakers, probably the time of year though! Would defintely go back though!

Very enjoyable stay. Accommodation and resort very good Villas nicely set out around pools. Only down side was the water in the pools were freezing. Pools were not used because of this. First ever holiday we havent had a swim and the kids were disapointed. No other complaints would recommend this resort.

Review of 'SANDS BEACH VILLAS RESORT'
03 January 2007
Excellent resort for family with young children. Stayed in a beach front apt which meant kids were able to play on beach of the shallow lagoon while adults can relax on patio. Very good restaurant on site, also good lunch in the poolside bar. Good kitchen facilities and plenty of storage space. There are several pools but they are cold at this time of year and there was no heated pool. Kids disco every evening and entertainment afterwards which our 8 and 4 year old would not miss.

Review of 'SANDS BEACH VILLAS RESORT'
15 December 2006
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, it was nice and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with hob, fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle. Pool right outside our apartment, unfortunately the weather wasn't great and the pools are freezing cold. We travelled with a baby and the apartment was well suited for us. Hotel provided us with a travel cot. Restaurant on site is very good and much cheaper than eating in the centre of Costa Teguise. You can walk into Costa Teguise via a path (sometimes the path disappears, and you have to walk on the beach! - not great when you've got buggies) this route takes about half an hour - instead walk via the road, only five minutes to the nearest bars/restaurants.

Review of 'SANDS BEACH VILLAS RESORT'
19 April 2006
The holiday did not get off to a good start as the booking was mixed up and instead of a 2 bed appt we got a 1 bed. This caused issues on holiday as the appt underneath us could obviously hear everything.
That aside, we would go back to the Sands Beach. The accommodation is excellent (even if one curtain was missing!) and looked after. Clean. The beachfront villa we were in was ideal for the children as the beach was soft and safe. The lagoon was shallow and full of fish. My eldest enjoyed the raft! The hotel was fully booked but also the quietest I have ever been in! No forced entertainment. It was great!
