Just fine

Can't fault this place as a cheap, central place to stay in Marbella. Clean and quite spacious. Got a balcony towards a small alley where I could get a glimpse of the old town. Not noisy at all, was never disturbed. Nice staff. Ok breakfast. Close to the water as well. Parking expensive in the city garages, sure, but you can save a few euros if you arrange parking through the hotel. All in all, it's no luxury option but I found no real reason to stay away from this hotel...

Review of 'SAN CRISTOBAL'

Hotel very well situated for the old town and the beach area of Marbella. Large car park within 5 minutes walk of the hotel but is priced at 13 euros for 24 hours which is quite expensive.  Unsure if the hotel offers a discount - certainiy not advertised and we forgot to ask!

Hotel was fairly comfortable.  Room was in the back with no view however the front facing rooms with balcony do look over the main road which at times does seem to be busy.

Room was clean, functional and the bed was very comfortable.  Limited TV channels on offer.  Shower was powerful and good.

Breakfast choice was fairly standard for a Spanish hotel on the Costa Del Sol for a 3 star - however must say the rolls were a bit hard and coffee only supplied via a machine.

Reception staff friendly enough.  Hotel is no smoking apart from a couple of designated areas and within small court yard.

Restuarant and bar on the 2nd floor (did not use).

Best thing about this hotel was location - however that said there are plenty more to choose from.

Review of 'SAN CRISTOBAL'

My husband and I have just returned from Marbella and stayed at the San Cristobal Hotel.  Our room and bathroom were both large and clean.  We were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the breakfast and indeed the dining room and thoroughly recommend this hotel for value for money and position. The hotel is very well situated for exploring Marbella, literally a couple of minutes from the seafront and many shops lining Marbella's main street.  Behind the hotel is the old town with it's narrow cobbled streets and fashionable boutiques.  Here you can enjoy dining al fresco in the beautiful 'plaza de los naranjos'(Orange Square). Puerto Banus is less than 10 minutes away by taxi or you can go by boat from the seafront which takes approx 30 minutes.  Why not sit back and take a ride around the town by horsedrawn carriage.  Both the horses and taxi rank are just opposite the hotel.  We would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

Our stay in the San Cristobal was very enjoyable. Hotel was very clean. Our room was overlooking the park. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel location was ideal for shopping in the old town and the promenade & beach were within 5 minutes walk. I would highly recommend this hotel.
