The Samira Garden is not luxurious - it's more homely than glossy - but it is pretty and quite classy and the staff are lovely. There is a great bar area to the front and a wonderful pool at the back. As I arrived early in the season, the restaurant was not yet open but a decent breakfast was served on the roof terrace - fabulous views - and with 68 restaurants in Kalkan, there are lots of tasty options. Chef arrived the day before I left (22.04) and on request, he kindly turned my shop-bought yoghurt into delicious cacik for my journey. As I said goodbye (hugs all round) they were preparing to open the restaurant. Samira Garden is also extremely clean - beds made, towels changed, floors and bathrooms washed down every day. Travelling on my own, a woman of a certain age, I have never been made to feel as safe and welcome as I did in Kalkan and at Samira Garden. Good for solo burned-out professionals - but also couples, friends and families too.
