PLEASE NOTE: From 11 April 2007 renovation work will start on the 4th floor of the hotel, we do not currently have a completion date for this work.

Our stay at the Sacher was wonderful. The room was huge and beautiful, furnished with bed, night stands, chairs, tables, and a chandelier! There was a balcony overlooking the river, from which you could see much of the town. Very quiet-or very good sound insulation!
The bathroom was gorgeous and spotlessly clean and had a huge marble tub. There were top quality toiletries provided. Large closet space!
The staff was wonderful also, helpful in all areas - with directions, with arranging excursions, even by putting 2 twin beds together to make a king sized one.
On our first night there were mini-Sacher tortes on our bed, and on subsequent nights there were chocolates!
Our package included breakfast , which was very good. Hot breakfast, not just continental. They even had a Sacher torte there!
We were within easy walking distance of anywhere in Salzburg. All of the excursions (Which could be arranged through the hotel)would pick you up at the hotel if you desired.
Would go back there at a moments notice!
