The Hotel Sacher is over 125 years old and has become as much of an institution in Vienna as the State Opera House and Lipizzaner Horses. Centrally located, the Hotel Sacher has 108 rooms and suites, which are individually decorated with antiques and paintings and comes with the facilities you would expect from such an establishment. There are numerous wining and dining options at the Hotel Sacher to suit every taste.

I arrived at the hotel at around 9.30am and asked to leave my bag at reception but to my great surprise my room was ready for me. The very friendly receptionist showed me around the hotel and took me to my room.
The room itself was very nicely decorated (it looked as though it had recently been renovated) and was very spacious. Unusually minibar prices were quite low (around €4 for a coke which is much lower than other hotels of its class).
Breakfast in the hotel was very good, there was a great selection of continental style pickings (cheese, meats, cereals fruit, yoghurt, breads and pastries). There was also sparkling wine and freshly squeezed fruit juices to choose from. There was a hot section where you can order your eggs as you like them with a selection of hot items (bacon, sausage, tomato etc).
The spa was quite small with just a couple of steam rooms and saunas and a chill-out zone. The therapist for our treatments was excellent - really worked out the kinks!
The location was very central and the hotel treated us like royalty (despite booking through an agency we felt no second-class citizen syndrome which you can sometimes encounter at upmarket hotels).
Excellent enjoyable stay, I would recommend it to anyone.
