Royal Garden

We were mightily impressed when we arrived at the hotel.  The staff were friendly and not in the least bit pompous but we were let down by the room.  

There were no coffee/tea facilities but we found out later that we could have asked for these but no-one told us this.

The carpet was patched and so was the bath! We moved the bed to look for a lost earring and found lots of coffee stains on the carpet and where the carpet patch had been cut from.

The food though was excellent and plentiful. The views from the room and the restaurant were over the gardens and it was within very easy walking distance from the tube station.   Despite the patches I would be happy to re-visit this hotel.

Modern Style hotel in great location - well placed as the shops and Kensington Palace Gardens are quite literally on your doorstep. Good base for Royal Albert Hall events.
Nice size room with large picture window - unfortunately the view overlooking Kensington Palace's Sentry post did evoke memories of Diana's Hurst waiting to set off. Room decor a bid bland but perfectly presentable and nicely equipped. Full english breakfast delivered by room service was excellent, probably the best I've had in London. Also impressive is the restaurant on the upper floor with panoramic view over London. There's also a very handy M&S food store just yards away so you can save on the mini bar bill.
