Review of 'ROOSEVELT'

When we got out of our taxi and walked in to the lobby we were astonished at the huge xmas tree is the beautiful lobby.  We checked in on the 26 December 05 for our first trip to New York.  The room was nice, not overly large but big enough.  It was clean cosy and in good condition.  The maid cleaned it every day.  The service whilst we were here was superb.  Room service was great.  The food arrived in about 20 mins, hot and with silver service.  The bar staff where very kind and would chat with you and make you welcome.  To put it in 1 word FANTASTIC

The lobby and reception area are magnificent. The elevator area looked like you were entering the 'terror tower' ride at Disney!!  It is relaxing sitting in the bar by the fire.  The atmosphere was nice and the staff are lovely.  The rooms are a little on the small side (but so are most in New York) but clean and comfortable. Very central. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Unbelievable! Stayed here Xmas shopping, and you couldnt get a better atmosphere, or location. All the staff were wonderfully helpful. It was spotless, with everything you needed.
Sitting by a log fire, drinking a Kia Royale listening to Christmas songs is an enduring memory. (aswell as seeing my mates stiff-legged skating in central park)
Hotel reception and bar was so nice, you almost looked forward to getting back there.
I would definitely go back.
