Great value for money

Stayed here for 4 nights in July 2008. purpose of trip was sightseeing. hotel was great value for money. rooms are very clean and well maintained. we had a twin room. room was en-suite with tv, fridge and ample storage space. hotel around 20 minute stroll to castle & 25 minutes to centre. tram 400m away takes you straight to centre in 5 minutes. we never paid- no one ever asked us to! very close to salt mines- 10 minute drive. auschwitz around 1 hour 15 minutes away. trips can be arranged to pick you up and drop you off at hotel. breakfast was cereal, cheese, ham, sausage, bread and salad. overall, we were delighted with the hotel. value for money was great. only down point was it was a little far out but if you don't mind to walk then it won't bother you. we would definatly stay here again.

Lovely hotel, very clean and staff aren't too bad at english. Breakfast is continental. Although hotel is a bit far out from the central town, there is a tram stop a wee bit up the road which takes you right into the centre in 8 stops - about 7mins or so! Also, taxis home cost about £5 stg. The place is really really really cheap - beer & vodka costs around £1.20. Food is great - try Roosters down one of the cobbled streets of the main square or Sioux situated on the main square. If you're thinking of going, you must see Auschwich and Salt Mines. Rokk hotel can arrange tours for these with English speaking guides and you get picked up at the front of your hotel.
