riosol
28 July 2008
I stayed in Riosol for two weeks from July 12TH
I didnt take the option of inclusive BUT WENT SELF CATERING
The accomodation was nice and the pool facilities were great there was great views all around and the weather was fantastic.
My only gripe would be that given the majority of people choose inclusive and not self catering the complex was not able to fulfill our requirements.
If we wished to purchase snacks and drinks at the pool snack bar (as it was not permitted to take food and drinks in from else where) it was a night mare.
Continually we were charged different prices for same items also they never had change so would only accept exact money. The bar facilities at night was the same so it was very difficult to buy a drink .Also the bar closes at 12:00 so no chance of a late drink. The entertainment was ok Serge (the entertainment rep ) was great but it was evident from the shows that it was ran on a very small budget. All this said I wouldnt hesitate to go back as it is a very clean and friendly holiday base.

great place, super views
01 April 2008
I stayed at Riosol Club for 10 nights on All Inclusive basis. This was my first time visiting the Canaries.
The weather was excellent throughout ensuring that you could sunbathe and swim in pool/sea.
The hotel is set on a hill next to a rather dramatic mountain and has fantastic views over the north of Fuerteventura.
The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and welcoming and will try to fulfil your every need.
The food in the restaurant is buffet style and the majority of meals were superb with salad, fruits and desserts available.
There is a free bus from the hotel to Playa Dorada and you can easily walk to Playa Flamingo in about 10-15mins. Once at the beaches there is a promenade walk which stretches the entire length from Playa Dorada back to Playa Flamingo if you are feeling energetic!
Some days it was quite windy so better staying at the pools . The hotel has
3 pools;2 adult pools, one fresh water (cold!) and a heated pool alongside a kids pool. The poolside bar serves snacks in morning and afternoon should you be feeling hungry still or have missed lunch etc!
The room/bungalow was very spacious with a small kitchenette and fridge. Plenty of space to hang clothes etc. Only tip would be to get yourself a device to plug in to deter mosquitoes. This gives you a perfect nights sleep. Bungalow had sea views and views over to Fuerteventura, very calm and peaceful.
If I was going back to Lanzarote I would choose Riosol Club again, 5 out of 5.

Review of 'GREEN OASIS RIOSOL'
13 June 2005
Second All-Inclusive holiday at Rio Sol in May/June school holiday.
Please read to the end.
Firstly I must say that all the staff were extremely friendly. The location, accommodation, and food this year was every bit as good as last, from our point of view, although some choices were less appealling than others, but then we all have different tastes.
However there were one or two reductions in quality. Firstly the poolside bar was closed when the restaurant was open, where previously it was open from 10am to 11:30pm. - not a major inconvenience, but a reduction in the previous year's standard. Secondly, and from our perspective more disappointing, was the poor quality of bar snacks, particularly with having a couple of 9 and 10 year olds. The previous year there had been burgers, hot-dogs, toasties, chips and (simple) ice-creams available all-inclusive, and a god send for kids who could eat whenever they wanted, if they didn't find much to their taste in the restaurant. This year there were only cheese and ham toasties. I understand there were some complaints where brochures indicated that these snacks would be available. We however had booked directly.
The accommodation and food was generally good. The staff wonderfully friendly, and the setting and location picturesque and quiet. The entertainment was enjoyable, particularly for the kids, but if you are looking for a boisterous break, then this will not be for you. However for a quiet holiday in attractive and pleasant surroundings with friendly staff and generally good food, then I would thoroughly recommend it.
We'd not been all-inclusive before, and were uncertain what to expect, and probably next year will look elsewhere, but would certainly think that you could do a lot worse than the Rio Sol Bungalows.
